Maybe baby wipes or tide pen? I haven't done those, but they are the first things I would think to try.

I tried a Tide pen on my hertiage stripe bag's lining and it didn't work. It has a small grease spot on the inside from when a security officer was poking around the inside of the bag w/a stick. :(

Hi ladies, I have one of the hamptons satin hobos in white and it has gotten pretty gross. There aren't really marks but the white has turned yellow in some spots (discoloration). Any ideas on how to clean? I was thinking of just putting it in the wash but I know thats extreme..help me please!

Thumbs up Hamptons, Scribble and Twill
Thank You!!! My husband just bought me a few new bags for our anniversary in June, and like a silly head I put a few pens in my scribble tote and lo-and-behold there was ink on the yellow lining. The alcohol on a q-tip was excellent! There is no more ink in it at all!

I just found this site and I am loving it. We just got an outlet near us here in SW PA and Now I have upped my collection from four to twelve! I have left my days of Louis Vutton in my past.

Thanks Ladies for the tips!

Smile Cleaning Coach Sabrina Patent Leather
So I need some help!!!!! My patent leather bag has brown stains that I have no idea how it got there on the outside that is not coming off with just the damp cloth. I need some advice on how to take the stain out I love that bag too much. Since I do not think the patent leather is such aharsher material compared to the regular leather bags just thinking about any of the ideas that you have posted might work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

*One think I could say about cleaning the bag if say some dirt go on there thats kinda sticky using a a pencil eraser can work to remove it.*

Thanks for the help

Marilyn

I was just getting ready to buy a Tide to go pen the other day, then I saw that it says not recommended for grease, ink and a few other things. ALL things I would have considered cleaning with it!!! LOL

MADISON LEATHER COLLECTIONS

Yes, this is my tips on cleaning it as i once (twice to be exact) spilled sugarcane (and ribena berry juice was the other incident) onto my cherry sabrina wallet and hangbag itself.

1- on the spot ; take soft cloth (i use face towel) and damp it with tap water, and dab it on the spot.. keep dabbing until the spot is wet evenly by the damp water around it..

2- it will look awful, u will feel like freaking out, but just relax and let it dry out naturally for an hour ( do not use hairdryer or fan to make it dry quickly)

3- when dried, check the spot, it shud disappear like magic but just incase it doesn't, don't worry! repeat step 1 and 2 again because this means that the spilled drink residue still exist in the leather.. u need to dab it with damp cloth as to ensure that it is absorbed out of the leather via the cloth (face towel, in my case)..

4- when dried and spotless and looking new as before, it is advisable to apply leather conditioner onto the whole bag - just to give the supple and glowing effect back into the leather.. ( i use apple conditioner)

hope this helps!

SIGNATURE JACQUARD STRIPE COLLECTION

no, i don't have coach signature cleaner, but this works like a charm!

1 - use a toothbrush with soft bristle.. and i mean, soft bristle! like the ones they put in hotels or u get as travel toiletries gift pack. and then baby shampoo.. yes.. baby shampoo..also you need a wet tissue (like for the baby wipes) and a dry cloth, i use face towel in this matter..

2 - put a drop of shampoo and just a one or two drops of tap water, mix them together in a cup.. dip toothbrush in and start brushing the dirt spot in circular motion until foam start to form on in..

3 - immediately wipe it off with dry cloth and see if the dirt has gone.. if not, dab with wet tissue and resume light brushing with toothbrush in circular motion..

4 - repeat step 3..

ok, the tips with the dry cloth and wet tissue is not to get the jacquard fabric wet so u don't have to bother about cleaning it or having watermarks later.. and the wet tissue is enough to help damping it up for the shampoo foam to form for the cleaning purposes.

hope that helps!!
