Default How do you care for signature bags?

Over the last week or so I have learned so much about caring for the leather bags. I have even ordered the recommended products. At the moment all of my bags are leather, my first signature bag should arrive tomorrow. So for those seasoned signature bag owners, What special care do they need? Do you pretreat with "Scotch Guard" to prevent stains and/or to waterproof?

From what I understand, Coach jacquard is already pre-treated to help with dirt and stains. I have not yet used it (although I just bought some) but Coach has a signature fabric cleaner you can use if the fabric gets soiled.

I thought my khaki sig bag was really clean.
Then I got a new khaki sig bag.
Wow...it's way lighter...the older one was just dark all-over...no specific spots. I couldn't believe the diff.

I have the Coach fabric cleaner.
Never split anything on it and had to use it for spot cleaning, though.

I have a Coach Signature bad from about 3 years ago. It has a WHITE background with multi-color C's. It is such a cute summer bag, but oh the horror of keeping it clean. When I visited the Coach store in the Galleria Mall in Dallas, TX to purchase the matching wallet, the SA advised me to use Shout Wipes for on the spot cleaning. It worked great. I will take a quick pic so you know what I'm referring to.

I haven't worn the bag in years, but as you can see it is still clean, thanks to that little bit of advice from the Coach SA...hope this helps!

(sorry for the double post)

Hi! I just wanted to share my sig experiences. I have one chocolate sig ergo and so far it's stayed pretty clean despite some very dirty conditions! I've carried it in the snowy weather, probably at some point coming into contact with the salt/sand mix and I've set it down in the grass (didn't really want to but no other choice!). I also work with kids and it's stayed pretty clean despite it all.

I don't own the cleaning product for this so i might buy some soon.
