Which do you prefer? Do you have more hobos or totes? I want your leather bag to work for you (you might not come back!), so I would recommend getting the style that you prefer in general.

I have to agree with this...get what works best for you! As for my opinion, I voted for the carryall. I don't think either bag is huge, but I personally don't care for that hobo. That's just my opinion. I have an older style Hamptons carryall that looks kind of similar although the belt is braided and thicker. I would check out Donnalynn's post for the hobo. I forgot what which size she ordered, but she returned it and got a 2-3 yr old belted pleated hobo in black. The post is here and you can see her pics:

Mahogany belted hobo is here! Opinions needed please!

I have been eyeing both of those bags too! Love em both! BUT my eye was first drawn to the carryall before anything else. What color are you thinking??

i voted for the carryall... after seeing donnalynn's pics of her hobo, i'm not really feeling that style for some reason? maybe because the strap on it looks thin and doesn't go w/the bag? I love the carryall because of the way that it looks and the cute charm that comes with it!

I was feeling the hobo, until I checked out Donnalynn's photos of hers. It looks nice, but not WOW kwim? That Carryall on the other hand looks cute with the pleating & charms also. But maybe you are not into that "structured" kind of bag? Then the hobo might work better for you. I know that hobo-styles tend to look better when they're full of stuff, nice and slouchy I guess. Love the berry color though!

I am debating this right now myself, I have both exact items in "shopping bag" but can't decide which one I want... this will be my first full-price all leather Coach bag as well! I think I am going to go with the Carryall... but I LOVE the color!!

I like the hobo just because I think single strap bags are easier to carry.

I have been dabating all morning on the same two bags (only I am looking at the smaller hobo). I think I am leaning more toward the carryall. It just has better detailing.

I would like to see them both in person though before I decide.

omg, tough because i LOVE both! i would say that it depends on what type of person you are.. well not person but purse-carrier if you like more structured shapes obviously the carryall is the way to go, but if you are kinda chill and like your stuff to hang around in the bag, hobo.. to be honest i am more drawn to the carryall.. i already have the hamptons signature embossed carryall & a gallery tote and i just love bags with structure. although i have one hobo, i am slowly getting over the shape because i like bags that will stand up when i set them down. good luck + post pics when you decide!

Depends on how you want to use it. I've been looking at both and like them equally but I'd get one depending on what I plan on using it for. I personally would get the hobo because most of my bags are totes or tote-like with the 2 handles and I've only got one hobo style bag. Also I would want something that I could dress up more as well like for going out for dinner.
