I need some help deciding what I want for my birthday/15th anniversary, since they are only 6 days apart my DH usually gets me a birthaversary gift ,I have a month and a half to decide, but I want to start looking.

OK so I really want leather and legacy lining, must be a larger but not A huge bag. hopefully not real expensive under about $300, maybe something at the outlet or *bay.
what would you recommend?

I love ali's I never seen the inside of one and I dont know their measurements, anybody have pics and measurements?
TNC I love ergo's too! do you know what sizes ergo's come in? I have a signature ergo but I dont know if its a lg,med or are they one size?

I saw the slim ali adorable bag! but I think it is too small!

This Ergo belted tote was less than $300 at an outlet. Comes in black and plum too if you can find it.

Gigis are $375 so I think that goes over your limit but they have the legacy lining and it's so nice.

The Leighs have been at the outlets lately for $200-300. They have the Legacy lining and come in some great colors.

I was just at my outlet and no leighs or belted ergo's anywhere in sight. I love both of those bags!!!!! I may have to call the outlet in Denver and see if they have any!
Jean the Gigi's are cute but they hang funny on me, I look like im carrying a wardrobe bag!

I think your best bang for your buck would be the Thompson hobo. It's all leather with the cutest Coach brass hangtag and it's a big bag. They have them at the outlets for about 309.00 in toffee and ink. I think it may be a tattersal lining though, I forget.

You can get a Legacy shoulder bag for less than $300 on the bay!

lastnight while the forum was down I searched eBay, I really like the legacy shoulder but does anyone know how much it holds? I love the raisin color.

I also love the leigh in black and rose I would love modeling pics, the leigh seems real big.
and the Ali's in black so far.

I didnt see any thompson hobos on bay

I would suggest the Leigh because I think it's a gorgeous bag that can be dressed up or down and is convenient to get in and out of (attached is the rose Leigh I got at the outlet for $208, and also my juniper Leigh next to my walnut Gigi (also purchased at the outlet) for size comparisons!). The Leigh is really not that large...I think it's kind of small, but it holds a lot. The front pockets are fairly nonfunctional as they are very small. When I get the chance I can post pics side by side of the Leigh and Ali if you would like, so that you can see the size.

Honestly, the Thompson hobos are pretty big, and I don't find them as slouchy as I would personally like. I know the leather does get broken in over time, though. BTW, the Thompson line is a Legacy line and has the Legacy stripe lining, not tattersall.

As for the size of the THompson hobo, it's just that my Felicia and Elisa slouch more and conform to my body than the Thompson. DH hates the Thompson on me because he says it's way too large for my frame, but he doesn't have a problem with the Gigi. I don't know why because they are both large bags, and the Gigi only lays flat but doesn't really slouch on the shoulder. Anyway, the Thompson Julia is smaller and next to the rose Leigh in the pic...I think it was about $240, and is a dark brown pebble grain leather. It's not as deep as the Ali, and is fairly small.
