Have you ever bought a new Coach bag and hid it in your closet?

you guys are too much!

I dont have a hubby or SO, but I do hide bags in the closet from ME. I have a tendancy to buy something, and then it goes in the lcoset becasue I feel guilty about buying it. Usually about 2 weeks later I will have made up my mind whether to keep it or return it.

The bag thats currently in my closet is my Balenciaga NM Anniversary bag. $1595 plus tax. If I return it I could buy oodles of Coach accessories or 3 Coach bags.

what to do, what to do....

When I bought my large sig Carly it was in the closet for a couple of weeks- I wanted to wait for fall. That didn't last too long- I'm carrying it now!

I find myself hiding and stashing "from the DH" but I always ask myself why I do it. Seriously, he wouldn't notice a new bag if I hit him in the head with it and, even if he did notice, he wouldn't say anything - he really doesn't care. I sometimes think that the hiding and stashing is more about ME than anything else. Is there a shrink in the house?

Yes, I did hide a bag last year!

DH had just spoiled me rotten at Coach and I felt totally guilty getting another bag so soon. Looking back now it makes me laugh because it certainly wasn't super expensive. I hid the Signature Stripe Tote. He noticed when it came out of the closet, so I don't even attempt to do that anymore.... he's way too observant!

This thread is hilarious! I have one bag currently in hiding (an ergo sig tote)...under bed in guest room and I just ordered a Lily yesterday. I have no idea how I'm gonna get that one by DH! I even told the Coach store not to call me at home when the bag comes in...LOL!!! My DH tends to make "I'm gonna get you back" purchases when I buy a new Coach. This is the reason we have THREE game systems at my house. Sigh, he'll never understand.

I confess - got the denim stripe tote (and wallet, and wristlet!) while he was out of town for his cousin's "bachelor party" (aka 5 grown men old enough to know how to hold their liquor better forget all reason and run around town acting like 21yr olds getting stupid drunk for three days and pukin'). Since he was gone, it was really a day for me to shop for girlie stuff, spend hours in Sephora playing with makeup and other things and oops, somehow was at the coach store again!

It's in the closet 'hiding' in plain sight - it's sitting in the Coach bag still! But he has seen it, he hasn't mentioned it. He doesn't care much if I'm spending my 'mad' money (overtime) but still...there are only so many times I can hear him teasing me "wha? you got another purse? Sheesh!"

My chocolate carly is hidden until fall when I retire my multistripe tote. I don't know why I'm hiding it. actually I do know. I don't want to hear another spending lecture from my loving (but incredibly newsy) mother

I have to admit it too! My closet sometimes can't be open at all! Too scared for my mom's reaction! I don't have a DH yet, so, my mom i sthe one that usually doesnt understand. However if I bring something for her, then she forgets about it.

I'm guilty too! During the last PCE I bought myself the Chelsea mineral hobo and right on the heels of that, I found a good price on a pond legacy shoulder bag on eBay. I couldn't resist so I bought it and then thought "dh is going to kill me!". So the pond bag continues to hide in the closet in its dustbag until the right moment (probably sometime in the fall) when I can pull her out and say "oh I got this on ebay for soooo cheap!"-which is totally not a lie!

The only problem with this whole scenario is that I'm starting to get itchy to bring out the new bag but it's still too soon so I've got to be patient

LOL, I hide bags too. Funny, I am expecting a package from Coach in the next couple of days, he works at home so I don't think I can get away with that one.

lol I've done it once or twice but the hubby tends to keep up with my sales and purchases. He never gives me crap tho, he's got his own hobbies he spends his money on so neither of us can complain.

Yes I have done it and will again. So far not detected, but some of the larger bags are too large to easily fit on my shelves so will have to do some strategic rearranging, LOL.
