My bag does the same thing. It is almost as if the leather is thinner on the sides and the bottom. I really think that the seller listed it in excellent condition because that is the way that the totes come. If I was to sell my bag I may or may not disclose that information because I would not think that anything was wrong with it.

I've seen this at the outlet, and that's the way they are, kinda wrinkly on the sides and bottom. I think for $130, it's still a wonderful price.

Yup, I had seen this bag at outlet as well and it had that crinkling going on which bugged the crud out of me too. I'm almost positive the leather is thin and the bags are not stuffed out enough while in storage.

Go with your gut, work it out best you can w/ that seller and get rid of the bag if you can't stand looking at it. I never regret doing it, I feel better if something that bugs me is out of my sight completely!

I was looking at bleecker items on *bay and you could tell from pic to pic what seller stored it correctly. At least I could. I saw one with crinkles and waves on the back and it almost appeared pebbled when it wasn't supposed to be. The another auction was pristine.

To the OP I don't think you're being picky at all.

I dont think you're being picky at all, when I buy something that is in "excellent condition"--I do not expect any noticable flaw, which I think those are definitely flaws, especially the side of it! I hope you can resolve this with the seller since this was not disclosed in the auction. Keep us updated!

Honestly.. it looks fine to me. I have had 2 large ergo totes that both had something similar. I sold one of mine that had a wrinkly bottom but nothing was "wrong" with it.. that's just how it was... but my turquoise one is not perfect on the bottom or the sides either. It's a little wrinkly. Plus, I would have sold it as excellent condition as well if I bought it that way and it was not a final sale or anything. I do take lots of pictures of the things I sell though so hopefully no-body gets confused about what they are buying.

Nope, you are not being picky.
It would absolutely bother me as well
Those "flaws" should have been disclosed in the auction.
She should be willing to work something out with you

I know this doesn't really help the OP but I saw these tobacco leather ergos at Off 5th today for $183. I just wanted to mention it so some tPFer can go get one if they want.

ITA! JMHO. I'm not even certain I think the sides have been smooshed. I've seen bags in the Coach store that look like this. As to whether the seller should have mentioned it, I personally usually do because I know some people are pickier than others. If she showed detailed pics, though, IMO that is sufficient.

i agree with baglady and others. the seller should have taken pics of the areas, just for general knowledge. so you aren't being picky! hopefully they'll offer you a discount :)

Well I havent heard back from her yet so its still sitting there stuffed!! I'm going to wait to see if she responds, if not I may sell it on eBay, fully disclosing the wrinkeld areas. I agree that it still was a good price. my issue was of her not showing the wrinkled areas, but I sguess I shouldnt have bid if I didnt see all the sides. Ive had nothing but wonderful transactions on ebay so I guess I got overconfident - oh well, its still a very pretty bag. I also may keep it for just tossing around out and about with the kids.
