Talking Got COACH? Chat about your addiction! LOL

I don't know if anyone else feels the same way I do, but seriously not one day can go by without me thinking about COACH and figuring out what I should buy next, whether its an accessory or a bag... I never feel satisfied... I always want ONE more... I always tell myself... just ONE more and this will be it for awhile... but it never ends... the addiction continues... LOL

Yep! I totally agree! I never knew about this forum until a woman that I talked with on eBay (because she was selling a bag I wanted) told me about this forum... as much as I hate to say it, some days I wish I would've never found this forum because its addicting! It would just be nicer on my wallet! KWIM?

I completely feel your pain! LOL! Everytime I buy a new bag I say "this is it till next year" the fiance just shakes his head and laughs because he knows that in a week or 2 I will be saying " let's take a ride to macy's or let's take a ride to the outlet" I guess I just love COACH

I'm addicted as well but it's starting to subside gradually. Thankfully! Now I can look at outlet stuff and not buy. I definitely hope that I completely get over buying Coach and enjoy the ones that I have. It is a real addiction.

OMG me too! I have been subsiding somewhat lately as well, though - I went to the outlets testerday and didn't get ANYTHING for myself! I did wind up getting my mom a camel leather Soho satchel for her birthday. It was a great deal and it will be her first designer bag.

Seriously though, walking away empty handed surprised me... I think I am getting more discriminating, and also I am trying to be aware of what I have and what would or wouldn't fill a gap in my collection. For example, I loved the plum and khaki bags I saw, but none of the shapes would have functioned well for me, and I almost bought another wallet, but decided that it was too similar to one I already had. Such willpower!

That is TOO funny! I'm on "bag crack" in general (not just designer, lol!)..and prior to bags it was shoes... Ok, maybe it's STILL shoes too, but not as bad!!

I also find this forum to be a tempting place. There are so many BEAUTIFUL bags that people are always buying...it's hard to not do that as well!! I can't even get a real handle on what all I've bought since the beginning of 2008, but I think I counted at least 26 Coach BAGS so far (excluding all the little accessory items), as well as a handful of other brand bags. It honestly gives me a headache to think about it, and the thing is I cleaned out about the same amount of Coach bags over the last year (2007) on eBay and giving them to family, just so that I could make more space for new ones. Now it's mid year, and I've already gotten back up to the same amount again (and more). I honestly don't think I would have done this so quickly if I hadn't come to this forum full time. I was also always an outlet or retail clearance ONLY shopper prior to coming here, and I felt good about those purchases. Now I don't so much because I think I counted at least 8 bags this year so far that were purchased at full retail (NOT even on PCE)! I've NEVER done that, at least not so frequently in the past! Just because you can purchase doesn't mean you should, you know...especially when I am fortunate enough to at least on occasion be able to get some of these bags later on at discount prices! I can understand making retail purchases when you don't have that option...but I have no excuse!

After the outlet spree (that's still "ongoing" as we speak, lol!), I've decided to see how I can survive by thinking only about what's at the outlet...and limiting my purchases otherwise. That means older bags for the most part. So I will buy ONE new style bag this month...I'm trying to decide which one, but it's looking like the Sabrina unless it's not very structured! And if I spend too much time making a decision and they sell out, I won't be upset! I actually feel really guilty about the amount I've spent at the outlet, but it's one of those cases where you snooze and you lose out! But that also means I really can't spend too much at the boutique...and TBH I don't really want to! Of course I won't say I won't make any boutique purchases because I certainly will...but I'm just going to try to be more conservative with those purchases, especially when they involve paying full retail price!

This is me too. I feel a little sad when I leave the outlet empty-handed especially since I have to make a special event to go there in the first place. However, I remind myself of how I felt when I bought a chili carly there and immediately bought one on eBay for much less & returned that one. I'll mostly just stick to keyfobs & small accessories from now on there. :)

i'm hitting temporary coach saturation soon! once my current purchases get shipped to me from various locations, and a few missing pieces hunted down, i should be done for awhile. by for awhile, it probably means like a month. haha!

it is definitely a pretty full on addiction! i counted my pouch sets on my fingers today, including those that are not yet shipped, and my whole hand wasn't enough.

for the past month or two, it's been a really fun and crazy period of hunting down stuff to build my sets with. there are no outlets in singapore, so i've become a permanent resident of the bay.

yes, i definitely need to take some time to enjoy all of them for awhile. however, i reckon the process of collecting them was the truly fun bit!

i won't ever say i'm going on a ban, because i know myself and it's just not possible. i will, however, be slowing down a little. storage areas in my room are going to need some re-allocation soon.

and even though i'm rushing deadlines, i'm still posting on tPF!

When a lecture was boring I'd be thinking of what bag I want to save up for, when on the internet "researching" I end up on this forum looking at pictures for ideas of my next buy.
My dad thinks I have a "fetish" for handbags, and says it is a bit worrying LOL!
Though I think I am like that with everything to do with fashion, not just coach handbags. If only we were billionaires!!!!

I am definitely addicted. I used to be seriously minimalistic with my stuff but this year I just feel so different (I guess because I've never made STEADY money before) and I can't stay away.

You all definitely enable me and I hope I am able to enable you back!
