After cruising around TPF for over a year and over 7000 posts later (this one is 7500!! to be exact!!!) I'd say the same thing- I love Coach- love the diversity and the ton of styles and sizes, colors and material-
for the accessories too!!!! I agree- there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of COACH!!!

I actually find tPF helps me CONTROL my obsession. I can come here and chat about other people's bags, offer advice, congratulations, and not feel like I have to buy another bag. Before I found tPF, my obsession was all in my head and the only way to satisfy it was to search ebay for another bag, buy another bag, etc. Now I can come here instead.
![]() I still search for THE Bonnie Cashin bag that I feel will complete my collection...but that's easy and only takes about 5 minutes per day.

Hey Dragonette!
I am relieved that there are Coach boutiques in Singapore. I keep in touch with one friend in Singapore and she is not familiar with Coach stuff. In fact, when she came to visit friends in the US and Canada, I gave her some Roots and Lululemon apparel and she loved it. It's a totally Canadian thing. Just from chatting with her, it seemed as though many American and Canadian items were out of reach from Singaporeans. Well, maybe Canadian stuff especially. It's too bad there are no outlets where you're at. It takes me over 3 hours to drive to the nearest outlet and I would rather get a ride with my girlfriend and her family to make it worth the effort. I admire that you're so dedicated to a brand even though it may be more difficult to acquire what you like from where you're at. I'm sorry that you can't shop from outlet stores and you must be really frustrated when we chat about the deals we get here. I am glad your friend got you to consider authenticating your purchases and that is how you found out about TPF. I bought my first 5 Coach bags and was interested in knowing more about this brand and I read several forums about this and replied to many and happened upon this Purse Forum too. I am glad I am chatting with such great people here and bought several more bags as a result. I've also learned how to use a wristlet effectively and learned to appreciate both the signature and leather collection. I appreciate your reply on why Coach appeals to you. You remind me a bit like myself. I like to give very detailed replies to questions too. [Dragonette: i love the concept of purses and charms, or fobs and scarves. it lets me have so much fun with a little purse! it's almost like playing with a barbie doll and her clothes (although i've never liked barbie, but... you know what i mean).] When I was growing up in the 1980s, Japanese animae characters and toys were extremely popular and Hello Kitty was making its debuit here. I got colourful pencil cases, pens, pencils, plates, wallets, and knapsacks. I couldn't get enough. They were so colourful. I loved my pencil case. When you press a button...a magnifying glass pops out...another button pops open a pencil sharpener...another button pops open some secret compartments...et cetera! I had an automatic pencil that looked like a folded umbrella. So, yeah, I know exactly what you mean! I like the variety too and the colours and fabrics and this is my 'grown-up' version of what I had when I was a kid back long ago. [Dragonette: i used to carry big bags with everything but the kitchen sink, and my shoulders and back really suffered for it. now i've downsized to pouches and never been happier! ]I'm discovering that too! I have huge Coach bags but I seem to be using the smaller ones lately and carrying a thin tote along in case I have other stuff to take. I have a Coach Swingpack I use regularly as well as my Ergos and Whiskey Vintage Bleeker Zip Hobo that I really enjoy toting around. Your spiders are cute...I wouldn't have said that before I read your blog. It's pretty funny how you nonchalently describe your worm purchases. I used to have goldfish and I had one named, "Mogley" who had huge googly eyes that pointed upwards except that they were staring at each other and kinda crooked. He was my favourite fish because he was like a little puppy. He followed my finger around the tank like a little pug. He passed away 10 years ago after living over 5 years with me. I still miss him. It's too bad I couldn't reply before you headed off to bed. I worked all day and took a nap before signing on tonight and there is a 12 hour difference between oceans. Take care and I hope you had a good nap after replying here!

hey t-girl,
i'm actually not frustrated by everyone's posts about their fabulous outlet finds. i'm happy to read about them! the bay is my outlet and reading about the outlets gives me a good gauge on what's about to appear on the bay. ![]() kinda like the coach stock market. haha! reading the trends! and i love sharing the shopping joys of everyone, just like everyone has been sharing my joys with me. ![]() i used to have a goldfish too! he was totally blind and his name was nemo. i used to be an editor and my graphics girl had given him the name, because he also had a deformed tail. i handfed him everyday for a year, before he fell sick and died (due to water temperature changes. he had to live in a very small bowl so he could swim upright, but it also meant temperature could be unstable. we found that out too late). i was really sad. i still miss him too! ![]() |

Hey Dragonette:
We've got fish stories! Your blind fish sounded adorable. I couldn't seem to have any more pets after Mogley. One co-worker last year gave me a plant for my birthday hoping to give me something to care for. Assuming that it will die since I don't have a green thumb, I watered it from time to time. Ironically, the thing kept growing and growing. I bought a bigger flower pot for it, but I got nervous waiting for it to die. Instead, I gave that plant to another co-worker to take home (pssst, not telling the other person) when I changed departments. I think I know what you're saying about not being frustrated that there are no outlet malls. You just learn to live to accept it. If I had an outlet store nearby, I would go nuts and visit that place on a regular basis and lose touch with friends and reality. Celebrating other people's purchases is fun! I enjoy seeing other people get great stuff at great deals too. Buying trendy is fun. For me, I wanted a Coach collection to enjoy. Now I have more than I could hope for. ![]() Singapore real estate is so expensive, I hope you have enough space to store all your Coach stuff. Oh yeah, you're buying small pouches. Oh, then that's okay. ![]() Take care, |
