I've been OK with coach lately but I've had a serious tano fetish! I've gotten ummm.... eight (?) bags in the past three months or so! EEK lol and their fall stuff is coming out soon and I can't stop thinking about it. Most of the Coach stuff I want now I can't afford or justify spending THAT much on one bag (of course if I stopped buying Tano I could afford that gigi! lol) but oh well! And yes, TPF has made my addiction MUCH worse because I find out about all these bags I've missed out on (leads to looking on ebay) and too much of a heads up on what is coming out soon! lol

I am, but my marriage can't handle a full on addiction!
I buy in spurts...which means, only when I have money! Like, bonus time or tax return time...that's about all the shopping I get! So for me, as much as I hate it, I am in and out of this subforum, only because if I stick around, I'd be getting my rear divorced! LOL!! Seriously, though! That's just what works for me! |

It is so easy to get addicted, especially being on this forum. When you see the beautiful bags everyone has, it makes me want one too. But, I have to be good. One income, car pymts, mortgage pymts, 3 kids...you get the idea. If I could, I would!

I have been so bad lately and it has finally caught up with me. I have bought and sold so many bags, you wouldn't even believe it! I am trying to slow down and weed out my collection to the truly loved ones that I know I will use. The fact that I am trying to start up my own little photography business has played a part in it as well because it's an expensive hobby.
I also have 2 kids, car payments, mortgage, pre-school tuitions and all that to think about. This forum has been a blast for me.. I have met some great people and enjoy coming here to oogle the beautiful new stuff.. I don't think I could give it up even if I was never going to buy a bag again! ( Let's hope that doesn't happen!!!) |

I'm in cold turkey mode now but I do think a keyfob or keychain could be done — the spirit is willing, but the bank account is not.

I absoloutely lov eanything coach, am OBSESSED but i am starting to realize it is ok to admire and then move on. i dont need to buy buy buy. We want to focus now and getting things for our home and saving fro a trip next yr. after all, how many bags does one woman need? the threads abotu whether we like the vintage bags made me realize that in ten yrs we probably wont even like lot of what we have now.

[quote=dragonette;7017716]i'm hitting temporary coach saturation soon! once my current purchases get shipped to me from various locations, and a few missing pieces hunted down, i should be done for awhile. by for awhile, it probably means like a month. haha!
it is definitely a pretty full on addiction! i counted my pouch sets on my fingers today, including those that are not yet shipped, and my whole hand wasn't enough. ![]() for the past month or two, it's been a really fun and crazy period of hunting down stuff to build my sets with. there are no outlets in singapore, so i've become a permanent resident of the bay. ![]() Hi Dragonette: Okay, I understand that getting Coach stuff is great--I am totally addicted and thanks to TPF, I've got LOTS more Coach bags. But how did you hear about Coach? Also, why does it appeal to you? It's American and it's nearly impossible and extremely expensive to ship to Singapore. I live far away from any outlet store and that's one of the main reasons why I've stopped buying Coach. You must love it because it seems so rare and unique from Singaporean styles. I'd like to know. BTW, you are unique! How many people have spiders as pets, eh? ![]() Take care, |

I love Coach and consider myself addicted. But lately, I have been kinda indecisive about which ones I like. I mean I love them all, but I want some I can just grab and carry and feel good with. Haven't really found that yet. Working on selling a few so I can look for that HG bag. I want the Elisa SO bad, but just can't justify full price, so that's the way it goes.
I am just a bag hound tho. Bought a D&B on sale at Macy's today. They had some Coach marked down, but nothing I wanted. I'm not a fan of the khaki sig. One thing I love is this forum. I post in the other forums and no one responds or joins in. I posted about my new D&B bag over an hour ago, and no response! Everyone in the Coach forum is so great! |

I love Coach, but some bags that people go all gaga for, I just don't like. I have a particular taste, and Coach seems to fit it well. The only thing I hate is since I started buying (with no end in sight) coach, I get sick of other handbags soooo fast.
*Sigh* What happened to the days when a $40 purse from Kohl's was good for 6 months? LOL... |

hi t-girl,
on the contrary, there are coach boutiques in singapore. there are just no outlets (factory outlets). boutiques prices are very high though, about double that of US retail prices after appropriate currency conversions. i've always liked coach from afar, but never got interested enough to find other means to buy pieces. then, one of my girlfriends went on holiday to US and bought me a hamptons black signature pouch. i wanted a black leather one and it suddenly struck me that i could find them on ebay (aka the bay). prior to that, i'd only used the bay to find vintage clothing. and then, another girlfriend made me paranoid about my purchases being fake, as she had once wasted AUD400 on a fake LV. i googled around and found the very awesome Authenticate This thread. and that was how tPF began for me. why does it appeal to me? that's pretty tricky but i'll try. i love the concept of purses and charms, or fobs and scarves. it lets me have so much fun with a little purse! it's almost like playing with a barbie doll and her clothes (although i've never liked barbie, but... you know what i mean). i'm also a collector by nature. i LOVE collecting stuff that can be collected. i buy multiples of things all the time. and collecting coach is so much fun, when pouches, wristlets and mini skinnies (and charms!) of every imaginable design are created every season! and then, of course, like i've mentioned before, a pouch is the perfect size for me. i used to carry big bags with everything but the kitchen sink, and my shoulders and back really suffered for it. now i've downsized to pouches and never been happier! ![]() oh... i almost forgot. spiders. i do know several people who are spiderkeepers as well. in fact, i'm in several online communities with thousands of like-minded folk from around the world. of course, there are fewer girls, but i'm definitely not the only one. ![]() ok, it's 6am and my brain has just shut down. thanks for your interest, t-girl! ![]() ![]() |
