Default Got a gift from hubby, but.................

I can't open it for a few months! Okay, here's the story. Without offending anybody, I'm, well, fluffy, overweight, plus sized, fat, however you want to call it. I started a very serious diet and exercise program and have already lost 40 pounds. It's a start, but I'm nowhere near my goal. I was telling my wonderful husband how I got a PCE and wanted to get something, but really didn't need anything. Later, I was telling him how I was losing my motivation to stick with my diet and exercise program (I'm not a very patient person). So, hubby asked me what would keep me motivated, to which I replied, just dangle a Coach bag in front of me and that just may do it. So, with my PCE card, he went to the Coach store at the mall and came home with 3 boxes. He told me to pick my goal and when I got there he would give me my packages. I started out with 25 pounds, but then I increased it to 33, which will be a monumental amount for me. If I'm ever gutsy enough, I'll let you all know the meaning of that specific number.

So, wish me luck! It'll be nice to have the weight off AND have some new goodies to show off.

That's awesome! Good for you...40 pounds alone is amazing, and a coach purse for your goal is a great idea!!

You should definitely post when you reach your goal!! :)

that is wonderful! congrats on the weight loss so far! i have started a diet also, and my mother is doing it too, we're both quite fluffy, and NEED to lose the weight. We hae come up with 'Shopping Dollars' and we will receive a designated amount in the 'fund' when we get to goals. I will of course use mine for Coach i think its a good reason to put yourself on a ban (for the big stuff anyways) and get your most wanted bags as you get goals, and maybe get some accessories at mini goals!! then you items will always remind you of your goals being reached!!

Congrats again! and good luck! You can do it!!
*And applause for hubby, he sounds great!!*

Good luck and what a motivation! Remember that losing it more slowly is healthier and is a better guarantee of lasting weight loss! Good luck in the fight!

WOW..that would motivate me too! So, you haven't even peeked in the boxes? Any idea what he got you? 40 pounds is a huge accomplishment in itself. You should be really proud of yourself. You must post when you reach your goal and open your goodies! How exciting!!!!!

Thank you everyone for your support. It really is rewarding to watch the numbers on the scale go down. As far as what I've done so far, it's just simple math--calories in vs. calories out. I've been on just about every diet and have failed. This way truly puts me in control over everything. I can eat anything I want, so long as it's within my calorie range. And if I over eat, I just know I have to burn off that many more calories at the gym. How come this isn't as much fun as the eating was??

rendodan110, congrats on your weight loss. You're such a skinny little thing! How did you do it?

No, I haven't peaked in any of the boxes yet. I do have a feeling though and think it may be something pleated with matching accessories.

I love the idea of setting mini-goals along the way. I'll have tell hubby your idea. Maybe a matching scarf or keyfob to go with my surprise with a 10 pound loss. Oooohhhh, I think this is a great idea.

I am currently in the weight loss camp as well.. I am fat ( sorry gals.. I just am, LOL!) and was fatter before I lost 60 pounds.. I need to lose 60 more to be at my goal weight... It's been tough but I will get there and you will too!
