Default Concerns with Madeline.. Black coming off??

I was moisturizing the leather on my black leather Madeline and I started to buff it and I noticed black all over the cloth I was using! I was using an old sock and I wasn't rubbing very hard. I am kinda concerned about this.. Do I need to worry? Is the black going to get on my clothes? Is it going to fade?? has anyone else had this happen to them? I haven't used it or taken the tags off yet so it is returnable if need be.

I have never heard of that before...maybe its excess dye on the surface of the bag? Did the spot where it was coming look lighter than the rest of the bag? I would hate for issues like this to come up with maddie, she is so popular!!

Shameless Bump..

Does Anyone else have any idea why it would do this? I have never had a regular black leather bag before so I don't know. I have conditioned all my other colored (like magenta) bags and never had any dye come off. HELP!

It doesn't look faded in the spots that I buffed so I guess thats good but... I don't know... I guess I should call Coach but I hate doing that and I have 2 little kids that hate for me to be on the phone. They start screaming the minute I pick it up, I swear!

When I treated my chili Carly my rag turned a little red but the bag looks the same and I have used it for about 2 months straight with no color transfer and no fading, still beautiful and softer than ever!

This is good to know. I hope it's just excess dye.. and it wont fade or anything..that would be horrible!
