I also adore this color! Coach is driving me wild with the lovely colors they have for fall (esp. light mauve!)

Thanks for posting, Neesie! Just know that you will be held responsible if I fall in love for this bag...and I think I am!
LA, you're too funny! Yes, I will gladly play the role of Coach culprit!!! And yes it's a "Hermes inspired", but I too am falling in love!

I really like this bag - I hope they release it in more colors! I didn't think Hermes at all when I first saw it. To me, it looked a lot like a Hamptons Carryall with a flap top. I guess Hermes is so far out of my budget I just don't take much notice of their stuff!

I'm sorry ladies, I'm not trying to offend anyone personally here.

To me seeing this bag is the equivalent of the Guess version of the Carly... although it's not a "knock off" or a "fake" it's definitely closer to the line than I'd care to get. Using the justification that you can't afford the bag is on the same line of thinking as someone buying a fake bag on ioffer.

I'd never consider a Coach bag my HG... a Hermes bag, I would.

I agree with you whole-heartedly. It is a beautiful bag nonetheless, but IMHO it is too much like the Birkin. But this is a business and they are just trying to reach in their minds a different consumer group. Coach is and will continue to be affordable luxury.

WOW! Do you not know your Coach history? Have you seen where it was 10 years ago versus where it is today? It will be high end soon, maybe not this year, but I can see the bags being $700+ EASILY in 5 years, not including inflation! Face the facts: the quality is OUTSTANDING! The designs are never BORING and redundent like LV. And they aren't known for only two bag designs like Hermes! Coach is the all round great brand!

PLUS! Bonnie Cashin also worked for Coach in the 90's AND also worked for Hermes at one point too!

All of these bags are from GREAT brands, and yes, they all have SIMILAR characteristics, but that does NOT make them "Hermes look alikes" Just like the Speedy DOES NOT belong solely to LV... Dooney made a speedy, Coach has made a Speedy... and so on and so forth...

These are all bags that are SIMILAR to the Birkin, but NOT look-alikes, and all are from great designers...

The Birkin

The Mulberry Bayswater

The Louis Vuitton Steamer

The Ralph Lauren Ricky Bag

The New Coach bag

SO... I guess if a bag is tote like in appearance, with a flap over the top, with straps or a lock of some sort holding it down then OBVIOUSLY it is a Hermes look-alike...lol
