Default Coach Patent Leather Ergo Tote

I purchased a Ergo Tote in Pond Patent Leather at the Outlet last week. I have never had a Patent Leather handbag before. How well do they last? Do I have to be very careful with it?

Also if the Patent Leather starts to crack or peel will I be able to return it to coach for repair or credit?

I don't really know anything about the patent. I would like to know the answer since a patent ergo tote is on my wishlist. Anyone?

The patent leather ergo totes hold up really well. I've had mine for a few months and haven't noticed any cracking or peeling or scratches and I've been using it every day for work. It's great because I don't have to worry about getting caught out in the rain or "babying" it. If it gets wet, you can wipe it dry and it's like brand new. It's one of the most versatile bags I've had! I highly recommend this bag, and the Legacy stripe lining is TDF!

If it does start to crack and peel, you'd be able to send it in for repair, though they'd probably just give you credit.

Congrats again!!!! Thanks for your advice....I just won a mahogany ergo tote in the patent.

So I'm watching this thread with interest. I've only ever heard good things about patent leather though. :)

*giddy*

Oh...and photos please?

I bought the patent navy blue pleated satchel from Macy's like two weeks ago and after a week of using it, the handle had peeled! I was disappointed. I just returned it today coz I didn't wanna waste my money on that.

I got a patent Ergo Hobo last week and have carried it nonstop since it came and it shows NO signs of wear.

I've had mine since they first came out, and absolutely no problems at all.....in fact, I wore it out last night and thought it had been getting softer...I love mine!

Uh-oh...that's not good. Now I'm worried...I've been on the fence about whether I should return my patent leather Ergo tote and save up for a regular leather Ergo tote...

Well, this bag was the last one at the store so I kinda wonder if it was a return in the first place? I don't know, I was just really disappointed.

You know...I'm a little slow today. LOL

I have a wallet and the wristlet in the patent mahogany. They are both fabulous. Now, I've only had them for a few weeks...but they get tossed around in my bags plenty and don't look any worse for the wear. And I just love the color and how it shines. That was one reason I was so obsessed with getting a patent ergo tote.

As I've mentioned in several threads regarding this...I love my pond tote! No cracking..it looks better with age. I carry it all the time now. Gorgeous patent leather and I got these two items with it and they are so shiny and lovely in the light!! I just love the ergo line. The mahogany is a TDF color!!

I have this and the wristlet in the pond to go with my purse...pic borrowed from the bay...

I've been contemplating this bag too. I saw one at the outlet a few weeks ago but I passed. Now I wish I would have snatched it up.
