i'm with you! i hate fed-ex too. Even when i tell the boutique i want signature confirmation fed-ex still leaves it in front of my door! I get so irritated cause someone can just snatch it. i like ups.

I agree they have done the same thing to me. Even claimed my address did not exist one time and then refused to let me come and pick up the package when it was back at the station. I had to wait until the next day. The address was correct the driver for some reason couldn't find it. Which was strange because I have gotten stuff from Fedex before and it was the same driver.

It's in a plain box, right?
When I've received things (hopefully today as well, when I'm home) it's never been obvious that the item was from COACH. I think a lot of boxes would get "lost" in the mail if that was the case!

I'm used to having deliveries dropped on the porch.
Thankfully, my neighbors are all honest and we haven't (yet?) experienced any thefts.

actually UPS and DHL do this to me also.. USPS does too unless there's a signature required.

when i got my tattersall scarf though, i said i didn't want signature required but they made it so that i would have to sign. go figure.

I agree. My Zoe was sitting in the local fedex facility(15 minutes away) for 24 hours. It does have a package label that says Coach, so if someone were to look at it, they would know its from Coach. I was so upset, here's my $500.00 bag, sitting around for 24 hours. Thanks Goodness I was home to accept delivery. I don't think anyone would take it, but you never know.

No, it says COach.com on the label which they look at when they scan it for delivery.

I too have had the stupid "signature required" on the d*mn box and they left it.

I live around the corner from FedEx so it isn't too difficult for me to go get it at the end of the day, but I have just decided that if the package is ever stolen (after being left on the porch) Coach or FedEx will be responsible, NOT ME.

Yup, i agree. If it does get stolen it'll be fed-ex fault. I like UPS cause they leave it in my porch which is covered and no one will be able to see my package. But Fed-ex leaves it in the front of my door where everyone can see it.

That's so weird.

Maybe this is because I live in an apt, but Fedex NEVER leaves boxes here. They don't even leave them at the office like UPS/DHL does.

I have to go pick it up at the station if I miss Fedex Man

I've had all the carriers just leave boxes even when a signature is required - I think they are all way too rushed these days. I did have a panicked UPS person come running back up after she'd left a Balenciaga bag on my doorstep one day saying she had to get a signature. Bal NY always requires a signature and I'm pretty sure if a carrier just leaves the package when there is a sig required, they would be liable. If no sig required, I'm not so sure, but whoever you buy the item from is responsible for actually getting it to you.

I have a long driveway with an electric gate and my fedex man always leaves the package OUTSIDE the gate, right by the street, ugh! My UPS and USPS are great, though and always slip the packages over the gate, so at least they are safe in my yard.

My husband works for DHL so I'm gonna chime in here. I've gotta stand up for these guys (and girls!). They are just doing their job.

Consider leaving a note saying something like, "I will be home after 2pm", or "Please DO NOT leave package unless I am here to sign for it." Or better yet, if you request a signature for drop-off, make sure you are at home. The driver doesnt have time to come back to your house 2 or 3 times in the day to see if you are home for the signature, so I think sometimes they figure you'd rather have your package waiting at your doorstep than a note saying "Sorry we missed you." By leaving a note for the delivery person, you can let he or she know exactly what you want.

If the drivers themselves were to steal packages on their routes or in the warehouse, they'd be out of their job. For the most part, they are honest, hard working people like you and me. And if they did want to steal packages, there are things of MUCH more value than a $500 purse that pass through their hands.

Lastly, if you are that unhappy with fedex delivery, arrange to pick up your package at the Coach boutique, or at the fedex facility near your home.

I'm just trying to offer a different perspective.
