Paula-

You should go to the eye doctor then. Even though it is not dangerous, you should not go around in pain. Maybe you should drive to the evey doctor and see if the are there if not go to the other one. You do not want it to get worse.

I called optometry on Monday and the doctor on one base (near my house) called in sick and the other base (not too far) never answered their phone. I thought maybe it would just go away, but here it is Thursday and a part of my eyeball still hurts and my eye is sensitive to light and the sun.

I am so nervous. I hope there isn't anything too bad wrong with it. I wear contacts and have bad vision. I hope I didn't do something terrible.

That is so freaky. A friend of mine just went through something similar & her treatment was just as WifeyB said. She was reading while reclining on the sofa, her cat jumped on her (12 lbs of lovable fur) and the edge of her hard-backed book hit her eye. She was diagnosed on blunt force trauma to the eye and corneal abrasion. She had to have antibiotics and eye drops 3 times a day. The doctor just released her yesterday; the accident was last Wednesday.
I hope you can get in to see a doctor today.

Thank you all for your kind words. I was able to see the optometrist. They didn't find an abrasion apparently. I heard them talk about an interesting line, but it doesn't have anything to do with the injury. They said something about a white spot or something, but that it didn't have air or something. I don't know because they talked in lingo I didn't understand. At any rate, they couldn't find a thing. They dilated my eyes and I am just now able to read up close again. He gave me drops to dilate my eyes/relax eye muscles that I am supposed to put in twice a day for three days. I felt like it made my sensitivity to light worse. I wore sunglasses in the house all day and night till just now.

I just hope it all stops soon

^^ I know what you mean mm. I'm just waiting for the things I ordered for my buddy and then I think I'm done shopping. Then I get to package it all pretty (once I get pretty packaging materials) and send it off.

I'm hoping to join the RAOK club next time around. I just love that we can share our thoughts and Love of Coach with one another. I can't wait to shop and buy Coach for someone other than me.....

So, I think there must be a curse on RAOK's . . . my house was just broken into today. I remember that happened to Farmerswife during the spring RAOK. Luckily they didn't take the desktop (must have been too much trouble) but they did take the laptops. Among many, many other things and destroying the house from top to bottom in the meantime.

hey every one, just wanted to touch base with my RAOK buddies. I went to a U2 concert last week and have been really sick ever since..... now I am in the Napa area visiting with family while my husband is recording a medical convention. I may have to check out the Napa Coach but I am waiting for a coupon to shop again.

I spent some time over at the U2 boards and I felt like I was cheating on my Coachies....any one else spend time on other message boards?

anywho....Purple Coach, I am so sorry to hear your home has been violated but glad to hear you are safe!

I am so sorry to hear about that. I hope that you have renters or homeowners insurance and can recoup some of what was lost.

Oh no purplecoachgirl! I'm so sorry to hear about the break-in. It just feels awful doesn't it? Over the summer the cars in my apartment complex were almost all broken into and my boyfriend lost his expensive textbooks and a lot of research notes he needed for school. I think they took his bag because they thought there might be a laptop in it. I can only imagine how terrible it would be to actually lose a laptop let alone all the things in your home they took and destroyed. Oddly my car wasn't broken into at all because I keep my car nice and clean so the thieves didn't see anything worth stealing.

I hope insurance comes through for you. Karma will def. catch up to those thieves.

That is so horrible purplecoach! I cannot imagine. I hope you can get things back with the insurance and maybe check local pawn shops? I really don't have a clue what to do if something like that happened. I'm so sorry!

Having your home broken into is a terrible violation of safety. I am so sorry that happened to you.

Or check your local craigslist or evilbay. Hopefully the thieves are that dumb. I know I looked for my boyfriends iPod for a few weeks after his car got broken into but it never showed up on craigslist or the entertainment buyback stores in my area. Stupid thieves.....
