A bump is something that moves the thread up, so that people see it, and hopefully pay attention to that particular thread.

I posted this in the eBay/deals thread, but figured it should be put here as well since it's all about organization :)

Can everyone remember to use the "Help! Find Coach Item" thread when looking for a particular item. The shopping subforum seems to be full of "Has anyone seen" threads.

Same for the "Macy's Deals" as there seems to be a LOT of sales / goodies at this store.

May I also make a few recommendations for the eBay/Deals thread:

Since the "rules" of tPF state that you can't post your own auctions, I see no point in consistently stating "Not my auction". That should be a given.

I know that many NEW users will post their own auctions, and yes I agree, those should be removed. - and posts that are suspect should be reported to a Mod so that they can be removed.

If it's an *bay auction, please list the name of the item, current selling price, BIN/BO or days remaining as well as the link. This would help filter items and provide more detail than just a link.

Example:
NAME OF ITEM, NWT, NWOT, EUC, HTF Color, Rare Item, etc.
Currently $XXX / # Days remaining or
BIN $XXX / # Days Remaining
Link to item.

For other items: name of item, Store location and City, if at all possible, a phone number / SA info (and if it's on hold, the name to call or PM for more info).

This is what is used in other *Bay/Deals threads and it works quite well.
