Default Craigslist

Has anyone here successfully sold anything on Craigslist? I am trying to sell one of my Coach bags and I posted it on craigslist... but I feel a little sketchy about it now, and I feel weird about meeting someone in person to be honest.

Has anyone here sold their Coach bags on craigslist or do you sell mostly on eBay?

I sell my daughter's used clothing in lots on there a couple times a year. I even allow the buyers to come to my home as long as hubby is here.

Yep. A few years ago I sold one there. I've also sold one on eBay.

I've also purchased a few things from Craigslist. It makes me very anxious to meet new people (that sounds so lame!) but each transaction was very smooth. It was just a quick exchange of money/goods and it was pretty painless. You can request to meet somewhere public and/or take a friend along.

I have sold many bags on Craigslist but I will only meet them at somewhere public like the mall food court, mcdonalds or starbucks and I never let them see my son. It has been a while since I have sold anything on there but I chose it over eBay so that I could avoid all of the fees.

I have never sold anything on craigslist because I don't live in a area where alot of people look. I have, however bought a few very nice authentic Coach pieces from Craigslist. The people have provided feedback (eBay) and shipped. You just have to be careful.

I've tried, but have never been successful. Everyone wants more pics, but they never want to purchase. I really want to sell them on CL so that I don't have to deal with fees and S&H on eBay. I've listed them on ebay too and always have to end up eating the listing fees as no one bids!

Default successful purchases

I have bought 3 bags in the last month through craigslist. All were gently used bags (one looks brand new!) and I was comfortable with the transactions. So, I am willing to buy the right bag at the right price.

I got scammed when I tried to sell my Madeline Tote. Thankfully my father saved my behind and he ended keeping the check. Turns out the butthead was in another state and I was in the West. Also, he types like a 3 year old, which got me suspicious.

Oh well. I gave up on trying to sell her and decided to keep her. I'll just see if any friends or family wants her and I'll sell it that way. It's easier and less hassle. What a pain.

I had no luck on craigslist. One guy wanted to swap my Coach bag for some piece of useless crap. I ended up selling on eBay.

Unhappy Selling coach on craigslist?

Has anyone ever done this and succeeded at it? I have tried posting my Heritage Stripe Tote for about 3 weeks now and NO bites? I have even lowered the price just to sell it off (would love to have the $ for other coach that I will use)! IS there something that I am missing or doing wrong?

please read our rules, you may not post links to or refer to items you're selling.

I think most people assume that designer items on craiglist are fake. Also, selling on craigslist can be dangerous..etc.

I have found people on Craigslist want a great deal. Most are cheap and won't spend much on anything. Why not list it on the bay?
