You have fakes and you have people that don't use a fee calculator when listing, then the multitude of other reasons.

i said they are an additional 20% automatically and then you have special sales where they are an additional % off of that.

and just b/c something is clearanced out at the outlet doesn't guarantee a sale/profit. you have to consider why they were clearanced out that low to begin with and also take into consideration that there are many others doing the same thing you are trying to do.
i think no shoe says it best with "the multitude of other reasons"
i know it's hard to fathom, but it is possible and people must profit from it or else there wouldn't be a slew of "recommended eBay sellers"

I agree with you, especially if its a bag that just came out within a month or so.

Even if someone received a brand new bag (I'll use Miranda as an example) as a gift with no receipt and was wanting to get the cash instead of a merchandise credit, there is no way someone will sell a $800 plus bag for less than half price.

In high school when I worked at a department store, people did it quite often . Usually one person ask to see a bag, another person (pretending to be another stranger) walks up and distracts the SA while the first person takes the bag. We were instructed by our store security to NOT chase after them (not like I would anyway because my life is worth more than a purse ) so there wasn't anything more we could do besides alert store security.

I have seen someone on Craigslist selling newer bags (ones still available at stores and online) for cheap, almost half off. I straight out asked her how she did it. She stated she had an in with a COACH dealer who let her buy bags at cost. I have no idea what that means, but her bags are real and she gets gift receipts for them. (Although she could be a lying SA) Don't we all wish we had such a connection?

okay so today i went to dillards who originally had some of their coach up to 50% discounted and today they went an additional 30% off. well, the coach rack was empty. i asked what was going on and the sales lady said some guy came in as soon as they opened and bought it out sating he is going to make a killing on eBay. i was so sad. they need to make a rule against this. but to the point. he may have gotten some things 80 % off and will go on ebay and sell it for 20-30% off retail. boo..

yes, some sales people keep "client books" and will call to alert about sales.
also, consider relatives/friends/neighbors/etc... that actually work for dillards

I know the Coach SA at my local Dillard's well (I have bought A LOT of bags from her) and she will call me the day before to let me know if they are putting Coach on clearance. Granted, I don't resell on eBay (its all for me ) so I do leave some bags for other Coach addicts.

for some reason i'm thinking 40%. i think i remember one telling me this once. we were discussing a great price at the outlet and she mentioned that the outlet price was better than her employee discount and that they can't use the employee discount on top of the outlet markdown. i doubt anyone can confirm this though.

Agreed, you won't get a definative answer but one of my co-workers sister is a former SA & she was told 50% off of boutique & 65% (original price) at the outlets.

I dunno but I'm annoyed because the Carlys are going for REALLY cheap on eBay right now which is disapointing for someone looking to sell her Carly in hopes of getting most of her money back. =P I honestly don't know how NWT bags can go for some cheap!
