Default Ebay and Coach

has anyone had GOOD experiences for this? getting a REAL Coach bag/asseccories from eBay?

What should I look for and/or avoid?

if I find something, is there a place to post here for yall to help me out with seeing if it's 'the real deal'?

I am all about deals and a Coach addict (even tho I only have 1 bag right now), but I am trying to venture out. :) I just wanna make sure if I fork out money over the net, it will be the REAL deal as if I went to the coach site myself, ya know?

Thanks for any advice/tips.

I bought my Heritage Resort tote and my beloved Elisa off eBay and adore both of them. No issues at all. You have to really look into the feedback and ask questions.
Good luck

i haven't found the courage to buy anything off the bay but many ppl in here have done so without much problem and they usually get a super price for it.. i think the important factors are to get the stuff authenticated here first before proceeding further..peruse the feedback of the seller and ask for more pictures if in doubt. remember, it's your cash that you're parting with,so be very careful and consider all angles before taking the plunge!

I have purchased 3 Coach bags off of the eBay where the transactions went perfectly and I was very happy. I also had one that was a disaster. The one that didn't go well had less than stellar pictures and the bag was in worse condition that described. It was NWT but was the most shopworn item I have ever seen in person. I ended up getting my money back from the seller, but it was frustrating and disappointing.

I would suggest really looking through the seller's feedback, getting the item authenticated and only looking at items with tons of crystal clear pictures.

I've gotten really lucky- I've won 2 Coach bags off of eBay...actually my only Coach bags at the moment (mini-sig Soho flap and a leather brown braided hobo) in the past 2 weeks with no problems at all.

Like someone else has already said, if you're in doubt ASK the seller questions (such as style #, closer pics of the creed, etc), check their feedback, and always go to the "Authenticate This" forum if you're unsure.

I have purchased a few things on there and I have been really happy. You need to do your homework, though -as other posters mentioned - use the Authenticate This forum on this board and definitely check feedback on the sellers. I also check to see what they have purcahsed and who they purcahse from - sometimes even checking feedback from sellers to their sellers! Obsessive maybe, but I want to know as much as possible so I know what I am dealing with. I also like to buy from sellers that offer return policies. So far though I have never had a problem. :O)

There are a lot of great sellers on there and although they are not allowed to advertise here... there are even a lot from this board.

Good Luck to you!

I had good experiences with eBay in regards to Coach shoes. I bought only one Coach handbag off Ebay and I am sure it was fake. I will not do that again as you can get better deals at the outlets than Ebay and you know they are authentic.

I have bought and sold many Coach bags and accessories on eBay. As a seller, I take a ton of pictures, make full disclosure (where I got the bag, how many times it was used, what blemishes are there if any at all). I look for that in other sellers. they more they disclose - then I can get a better idea of the condition of the bag.

As always, check the "C"s
*Check details - many times fakes have patterns that are slightly off.
*Creed - make sure style number matches the actual bag. Use the drilldown if necessary and ask in the Authenticate This thread.
*Color - make sure that Coach actually made that bag in that color. Again - ask in the Auth thread.
*Condition - can you see obvious wear on the bag? Does the flash "wash out" details. Ask for non-flash photos.
*Communication - ask a question about the bag and see how the seller responds. Better sellers will always answer questions.
* Credit Card - ALWAYS pay with one. You then have paypal protection, and if that doesn't work - your CC may protect you with a chargeback if needed.

Also - check prior feedback and if they've sold similar items. More than one or two of an item is a big red flag for me. Unless it's a reputable seller that you know buys in bulk (outlet, clearance racks, etc), it's pretty rare that one person would have more than one of a bag in the same color.

Hope that helps --- happy shopping!
