Distance from Allen, TX to Six Flags over Texas?

How far is the outlet from Six Flags over Texas/Hurricane Harbor in Dallas/Ft. Worth?

I have never been to a Coach outlet and woud LOVE to go

. My family is planning a mini-weekend vacation to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area at the beginning of August. If it's not too far, maybe I can convince my husand to drive over.

Are there any hotels I could stay at that would be located on the side of Dallas, closer to Allen? For instance, what city should I search a hotel in that would make my husband think I'm just saving money, etc. And I would probably be saving money, but....be closer to the outlet, to spend the savings in! Any suggestions to manipulate would help...

Stay at the Dallas Galleria Westin! It's inside the Galleria mall and getting to all the fun stuff is only about 30-45 minutes.

Six Flags is in Arlington. So I would say it would take you about an hour (+/-) to get from Arlington to the outlet in Allen...oh and that's without any major traffic.

search in Plano for a hotel or motel. It's out of the hustle and bustle of Dallas {= less $$}, but still COMPLETELY full of things to do, eat, shop, and is very close to Allen. Also close by is Frisco- good Stonebriar Mall and Ikea

I live down the street from Six Flags but I have never been to Allen. I think 75 minutes depending on traffic, could be less depending on how fast you drive :)

I was looking at the Southfork Hotel in Plano. Know anything about it? The 'VIP Lounge' on the Allen Outlet Mall website has a coupon for it.

According to Mapquest, Six Flags is approx 40 miles away from Allen, TX. This could take around an hour or so... maybe more depending on which time/day you choose to travel.

You should be able to get there under an hour and I would also suggest using the HOV lane, as long as you are not alone in the car. I was able to get there in 15 minutes from Richardson since my son was in the car with me.
