For some people, it almost isn't worth the drive, if you have to drive 2-3 hours. I went to a Coach Outlet. If i remember correctly, the bags were probably about 50 dollars off or so, on average. Nothing amazingly cheap in the outlet I went to, unfortunately.

Has anyone ever gone to a Coach Outlet on their birthday, and asked for a special discount?

^^ I'll let you know

My birthday falls on Columbus day this year, and since there should be a holiday sale, I am hoping to drive (1 hour) to the outlet (happy birthday to me!).
I figure it can't hurt to ask the SA, the worst they can do is say no!

the outlet at park city, ut is having 20-30% of their tags, including clearance. there's also a breast cancer coupon booklet you can buy for $2 and you get 3 coupons. one for 20,15,10 off your purchase. the sale ends oct 31. so you'll end up w/tons in savings

What is the return policy like at outlets? My aunt sent me a lemon coin purse, but I don't really need it. I don't have a gift reciept, do you think they would let me exchange it for credit?

I'm going to the Sawgrass Mills outlet tomorrow, I'll let you know what I find.

They will probably give you the credit for the lowest price it was sold at...just like dept. store. Which could be less then what you could get for it on eBay (if you sell on ebay).

Whitney, I haven't been to the one in San Marcos in a while, but they normally always have great stuff! I think it's worth checking out whenever.

I was able to exchange it! I got $40, which was exactly what I was hoping for, but I would have taken anything.

The Coach outlet in Atlantic City at The Walk outlet stores is great!! It's about an hour drive for me,, You can find a lot of cute stuff there,, for really good prices! Once they had a bucket on the counter with 10 dollar keyfobs, and I got a Coach logo bookmark for $4!!

I have a question about the outlet notification/hold policy. I was just in today and wanted a Hamptons weekend medium tote bag, which they didn't have (but they had the smaller size). Anyways, the girl took my information and said that when it comes in, my name will be in the system and they will automatically call me and place the bag on hold for me.

Are they usually pretty good about this? Or should I still call every week and check?

I would still call. I was put on the list for a bag awhile ago & haven't got a call but hey it could be b/c they haven't receive the bag yet, I guess. I've seen several on eBay from the outlets though. But they are probably really busy that most of them forget or just think someone else is doing the calls & it's not getting done. So many possibilities...just to be on the sure side, call & check every once in awhile.
