Last I heard, they have dustbags for most boutique transfer bags/ deletes but not for the factory exclusive (made-for-factory) purses. If it was the madison swingpack (I think I remember you showing that you mom got that one?) then I think it should have come with a dustbag. Call the store to ask and maybe you can go there and get one. If that is too far away, you could call JAX to send you one.

But maybe someone else (who gets to go to the outlets more frequently) has more input.

Thanks for telling me this. Yes it was the madison swingpack. My mom asked for one but the SA just shook her head and said 'no' so I'll try JAX since the outlet is far from my home.

I bought two purses at the Las Vegas outlet this weekend and one came with a dustbag and one didn't. Both of them are available in stores....go figure.

A sales associate told me all bags from the outlet, regardless of factory exclusive or boutique deletes, do not come with any dustbag. Silly her. I guess they just magically appear in the bag when I buy them from the outlet then.
Some people steal dustbags from one bag to put into the bag they're buying, so another person buying that bag gets no dustbag.

The SAs take the bags out and give to customers too. I bought an Addison last week and was quite taken aback that there was no dustbag. The SA just found another big bag (turned out to be a pleated ergo) and took the bag out, tried it on the Addison and said "there you go!". I wasn't about to argue so off I went.

I went to another outlet the same day and bought a laced pleated ergo and there was only one in the back. Ofcourse it had no dustbag! I pointed it out and the SA did the same thing, take a dustbag from another ergo (poor ergos they are under siege) and put it in my bag.

Ok, I was going to ask this in the general Coach forum, but I thought I would try it here first and see what kind of response I got.

How late is too late to return a bag? It still has the tag on it and I still have the receipt, but I bought it about 2 years ago!

I just have never used it and I really don't want to go through the auction hassle!

All opinions welcome. I know some of you will gasp at my time frame here.

I actually returned a NWT silk scarf to the outlet a few weeks ago, which I purchased in 2007, I think? It was almost 2 years exactly . I just never wore it & realized that I never would... It was only $24, but I really just didn't need it laying around here anymore, reminding me of the fact that I didn't like it enough to even put it on a bag one time! I was also in my "clear out" mode, where I donate everything I haven't worn in the past 2-3 years, and since it had tags & I had the receipt, it was going back.

There is no time limit on returns (the receipt says "if you are unsatisfied at any time," right?)... so they'll take it back, but they'll probably look at you funny. However, I was buying about $400 worth of stuff at the time, so I doubted they were going to argue with me or make me feel bad for returning a 2 year-old, $24 scarf.

I think you should take it back, and don't feel too bad about it; I'm sure they'll be able to sell it to someone else who might otherwise have been scouring the Bay for your 2 y.o. bag!

^^ True, the receipt does say at any time.

I am doing some spring cleaning now, cleaning out all my old clothes, bags, shoes, etc. That is when I came across this bag and decided I need to do something with it.

Thanks for your input. I'm still a little unsure about the return, but I'm going to the outlet on Thursday so maybe I'll give it a shot. It's a $150 bag though, a little more than the scarf. I think I'm just worried about the whole Coach letter of death (ban) thing.

Yes, I've seen a very small selection of watches at the outlets. There are a bigger selection of Coach watches at Movado factory store where I bought mine for about the same price or less.
