It would be a good idea to take pictures of the front, back, and inside.
Yes, it has the khaki signature lining. I'll post more pics once I finish this research paper on stem cells.

Thanks Starry! Didn't mean to be annoying with the bump.

This site above shows a bag similar to the one that I've been looking for only in black mini sig #6819. The dimensions of the black bag are a little smaller, though I suppose the width could depend upon where she measured it (top/bottom/widest part). Does anyone know anything about this seller? She doesn't seem to have a lot of Coach for sale now and her feedback indicates she's sold a little bit of everything. But has 100% positive FB. And what about the bag? It doesn't show up in the drilldown. I did email the seller asking to double check the dimensions and also for a picture of the creed and will post that if/when I get an answer.

The buyer of the original bag I was looking for (website below)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&it em=110305641487

did finally respond to my 3rd email (I was probably a pest) but the serial number she gave me G2K 6618 does not correspond to the right bag in the drilldown. And it really doesn't look like it corresponds to the creed on the original site, so I have a moral dilemma now. Do I tell her it doesn't correspond to the right bag? Or should I email a 4th time and ask her to double check the number? Or just let her live in bliss? I'm beginning to wish I'd never seen this bag!! I may just give up on trying to find a similar one!
There's a 6819 on eBay that's a smaller version of the one you're looking for so it's possible that the previous number in the sequence 6818 is for the larger bag, but it's hard to say with only one listing to go by. And like you said, that number doesn't look at all like the one on the creed, although it's possible that Coach re-issued the bag for the outlets and changed the style number. They'll do that sometimes if the old number has fewer digits than the current style numbers.

You may want to run an eBay Advanced Search - title and description for Coach 6818 and Save the search and leave the box for "Send an email when new listings are added" checked.

It looks fine, though a little beat up.

DH bought these on eBay last year (ahhh) and ...help. Would like to resell, want to be responsible seller, be positive of authenticity. Also unsure of styles? Serial# = style number somehow?

This is the tote:

This is the teeny, tiny bag that may have come from an outlet:

(This one has a bullseye on the bag of the tag; no creed)

Sorry for the blurry. Drilldown didn't work for tote.

K8D-9871 is a perfectly legitimate serial/style number for an older bag. In fact, the "8" between the K and the D indicate it was made in 1998. I think it's called a Beaumont Doctor's Satchel and I would love to see a photo of it. (By the way, all my older all leather Coach bags have the creed stamped directly on the leather on the inside).

The second bag I can't comment on - but the No G0851 F12345 only means it was made in 2008 and the F means it was made for the outlets.

The last one SHOULD look like this - not necessarily this color:

Can you post pictures of your bags? And definitely wait for other comments.

I originally asked about this on page 421. My son finally got pictures of the satchel taken. I'm going to try (again) to post them. New to this. The serial number is hard to read but it's K8D 9871. It's embossed on the inside leather pocket. The hang tag looks the same on both sides. The brass hardware actually looks like little stirrups and has no markings, not Coach or anything. My son took these with his cell phone and put them on my computer, so they're not great quality. I bought this at the Dayton's main department store in Minneapolis (before they were Marshall Fields, then Macy's) so I'm sure it's authentic, but posting so DemRam and others interested can see it. Thanks.

They both seem to be genuine. There's only one other tote listed on eBay and it apparently doesn't have the original price tag with the name but the seller's just calling it a Large Signature Shoulder Tote. The Scribble looks ok too, just list the dimensions and call it a Scribble pouch, style 8816;
