Thanks Kezza!
I would LOVE to know how old this purse is and what the retail was?

That's not actually a "vintage" bag, AFAIK. It came out within the last 5 years, I think. The stamping looks correct. I've seen this bag before, this one looks legit from the pictures.

thank you very much! i've seen stamping in this format before -- that is,

No. xxx-xxxx

and i always thought they might be fakes because most product codes i see are in the format

No.xxxx-xxxx

with no space in between the No. and the alphanumeric code before the model number; and four characters in the alphanumeric rather than three. Gee that sounded really weird. I hope it was comprehensible!

I think this is authentic, but wanted to double check. The seller has good feedback, but doesn't regularly sell Coach so I can't base anything on that. Thanks for your help.

I've never seen this particular style, but it could still be authentic. Email the seller and ask her where and when she bought it and what the style number is (it's the number on the creed). We can do a little more investigation based on that.

Oh, and puddinhd58: I've been hunting around, but can't find your bag on the coach archive. if it's older than 10 years, that's why. have you received the bag yet? If so, what's the style number? That might help out in the investigation.

And flutterby, i agree, that bag is fake.

I actually found the style 4752 listed on the coach archives as being new in December of 2003. There is one other one listed on eBay with a buy it now which would put the cost including shipping at the original retail price.

http://cgi.ebay.com/NWT-COACH-BLACK-...QQcmdZViewItem

This seller also has a lot of neutral/negative for slow shipping and I'm not sure if I want to do business with them.

I did e-mail the seller though to see where and when they got the item. Now that I'm looking closer at the 2 of them in comparison the original I posted about looks different above the buckle. It could be the angle of the picture but there should be a horizontal "strap" across the center above the buckle. Here is the pic from the coach archives.

I can see the strap above the buckle on the one on eBay, and comparing with the one from the Coach site I bet it's authentic. I could see why you might want to avoid this seller, though, just due to concerns over shipment.
