2 things about this bag throw me off: the P at the end of the creed and the one on drilldown has a leather hangtag while this has a brass one.

However, the seller has very good feedback and lots of authentic Coach items up for bid, and has sold Coach in the past. Also, the creed's font/spacing/stitching all look good, as well as the bag itself. So I'm pretty sure it's real.

Maybe someone can help to explain what the P means?

Doesn't the P mean pilot? This may have been an early introduction of the bag to see how well it would sell. I'm not sure though so wait on someone else to give the OK!

I've seen similar scarves, but this one...I'm not so sure about. The Cs look off.

Anyone agree? Or is this normal, i.e. the direction of the larger Cs.

You're right, P means it was a pilot bag.
