Default Anyone else frustrated by this?

So many people seem to buy up tons of stuff at the outlet just so they can sell it on eBay. When they do that, those of us who want to buy it at the outlet for ourselves don't get to get it and it sucks!

I want a legacy stripe ponytail scarf so bad and then a few other legacy stripe accessories, but they are sold out at so many outlets. Then I call to ones that the system says may have one and they are sold out and computer just hasn't updated.

Thanks for letting me get this out.

It normally would frustrate me, but since I know that thE BAY has been a lot more anal about letting people list freely and limiting them some, atleast I know they have to sit on their stock for longer than they'd like.. unless they are a powerseller and have good percentage to start with...

I'm with you 100%!!! The only time I usually buy/bid on Coach items on the bay is something that is an older style that's NL available or something used or extra unique! I refuse to put my HARD EARNED $$$$ in the pocket of someone who is just shopping and shipping for a living. Wouldn't we all love to shop for a living. I think selling on the bay should be a hobby/part-time extra income. Mothers who want to stay home with their little ones etc... I wish they would LIMIT the number of bags that one person can purchase during the BIG sales to like 5 or something of the sort. All I see on the bay is NWT, NWT,NWT yada yada yada

ITA! It is KILLING me that I can't find a Walnut or Black Legacy Shoulder Flap and I KNOW my outlet has had them! I watched a couple today spend over $3000 and I KNOW they were selling on the bay. I was pissed.

ITA! I was browsing on eBay and I got so disgusted because the first three pages were all of bags I had seen at the outlet this weekend! Gigi's, Legacy Flap, the patent Gallery totes, Carly's, all the Bleeckers and ALL for much more than the outlet price. I know, I know free enterprise, capitalism and all that, it's just really disappoint.

Like this? See I don't think they are buying all this to resell on the bay but I sense as gifts to send back to China. It was mostly signature products and rarely any leather pieces. But I understand why certain products are gone in one felt swoop.

If i was closer to an outlet, yes it would bother me. Buuuuuut since I hate making the drive and would rather pay an extra few bucks and pick it up one eBay...no. eBay is my virtual outlet, but I see both sides.

i just hate seeing bags from sellers that live in the city of the outlets and put a high bin, though you know they didnt pay close to that but i would be mad as well if i lived close to an outlet and the bag i wanted had a good deal, but were sold out because people bought it to sell for double what they paid i dont have an outlet, so i stalk eBay hoping to find a good deal. but been having bad luck of being outbid in the last 30 seconds

I wish that Coach would enforce a limit of some sort - that way if the *bayers want to buy stuff to resell, well okay you can have 'some' but not ALL the goodies. It just frosts my pumpkin seeing the prices the *bay resellers are wanting (and often getting) when we all know what they actually paid for the bags - a fair profit is one thing but sometimes it just looks like they are taking advantage of buyers who have either no other option or don't know how jacked up the prices are. Oh well....rant mode off now...

I don't buy from the people who obviously just buy up everything at an outlet and jack up the price, but I also won't buy from small sellers who I see jacking up prices unreasonably. I feel like they think I'm a fool. But I do buy from some of the larger sellers of used bags (consignment) if I'm trying to find a rare style, because they are providing a service and usually reconditioning the bags and putting effort into them. I also will occasionally buy a bag I really want if I find it at what I would consider a reasonable price, even if it is available at the outlet. But I just want to yell at the people who are buying these legacy bags and doubling the price for eBay - jerks!

BTW, I practice what I preach - when I sell on eBay I do not mark up, I start all of my auctions low (under $10 usually) and let the market dictate the selling price, even if I lose money. I only sell bags I don't use, I never buy to sell. I live very close to an outlet and never exploit that because I don't think it's fair and it is obviously against Coach policy.

Get outta my head! This is one issue totally burns my ass......

I have noticed at the outlet that I frequent the SAs there are very good about only putting out a few multiples of any one item out at a time so that no one can come along and wipe out their entire stock of that one item.

If there is something that I dont see out that I want, I know to ask the SA and they will check in the back for me to see if they have it.
I buy for myself and only myself so it makes me upset that these sellers come in and snap up everything then there is nothing left for us true Coachies!

I think that ALL of the outlets should do the same and limit the number of multiples that they put on the shelf at once.
If all outlets did this then this problem could effictively and quickly be remedied.
Granted at busier times (like the crazy 50% off sales) it would be harder for the SAs to monitor and keep stock replenished since there is a fine balance to keeping the shelves stocked but not overly stocked KWIM?

The coach outlets DOES limit each item. you can't buy more than 3 of the same thing. I tried to get some of the flower fobs for my girlfriends back at home and they wouldn't let me get more than 3. anyhow, i see tons of people carryout bagfuls of items, but the sales are for everyone...so i can't get angry that i didn't get it first. i do my shopping on eBay for items that i want but my outlets didn't have. if its at a price i'm willing to pay...then who cares who the profit goes to....better them than large retailers. As a retailer, Coach already marks up their prices! I'm just happy that i don't have to pay full price.

Some of the shoulder flaps on eBay are hardly going to any more than they sold at the outlet.. And the gigi's are dropping in price as well, there are a few that I'm kicking myself for not bidding on!

i noticed when the 50% sale happened the first time, there were so many eBay listings for the legacy shoulder bags and BINs were 250 on average when I knew the outlet price was at $79. I was annoyed too since all the bags sold out immediately at my outlets

This seller really irks me.. She's sold 3 gigi's already and she's so proud that she bought all of them
