If you are going to AC anyway on vacation, it is a short walk from the boardwalk. They have a bigger store now, so there is a lot of things there. Depends on what you are looking for.

The outlet store is on Arkansa Ave. It's part of the outlet stores called "The Walk" . The store is very big and has lots of stuff. It can get crowded on the weekends. You can look up "The Walk of Atlantic City" on the interent and it will give you a list of outlet stores (Nike, Nautica, Nine West, etc) and store hours. Hope this helps!

Definitely walk to the outlet store or take the Jittney from your hotel, there is not much parking there.

I visit AC often and the walk from the outlet to the boardwalk is fine. THe best place to walk from is Ceasar's. It's about 3/4 blocks from the boards. The first block runs from the boards bewteen the casinos, the rest of the blocks are the outlet stores. The city itself does have some shady areas, but the area around the outlets seems to be heavily populated with shoppers and there are always crossing guards and police around.

Ceasar's has a great mall inside with lots of fun shopping too. (Coach of course, Lush, Cache, BeBe, Banana Republic, BCBG, LV, Gucci Burberry, etc... and waaaay down the boards.... Harrah's Resort has a Red Door Spa and a fabulsou pool! The Tropicanna also has some shopping - Blue Mercury is a fun place to go.

ENJOY your vacation!
