So, maybe it may be worth the trip...or maybe not. Good luck though either way. I am almost done with my collection....just one more classic Coach leather purse for me!
I'm still going to check it out b/c as of Thursday afternoon, I don't have the car anymore b/c my daughter is done school for the year. DH wants to finally drive himself to work and I get the summer to hang out with my 3 little ones without having to drive DH to work and daughter #1 to school.

Even if I don't get a bag, I may get a wallet or 2. When I went, it was last Friday and when I was about to pay for the Bleeker Zip Hobo, I saw an SA with the Ergos and the Chelsea Tote. So I obviously got those instead. I do have a few errands to run for the next couple days, so I don't mind checking out the sale again.

to ^luvbags&shoes^ reply:

Yeah, I saw that you mentioned that! I'm amazed that they had more of them at that price! I was in la-la land when I got the Chelsea. It's my own 'Carly' style bag because Carly bags don't fit well on my shoulder.

Congratulations on your purchases!!! You must be as excited as I am with mine. I used my Tattersall bag for work today. It's soooo perfect--not heavy, stylish, all leather, and fits everything I need for work. This is going to be my favourite bag of all time.

Yeah, I got two more zipper wallets today and I used one of them today. It's very easy to access my money--much better than my wristlets. I may visit Coach again after work tomorrow. It's just a couple of subway stops from my workplace so it's a dream come true!

I hope you find some good stuff on your next trip. I am enjoying my bags--I now have more variety of bags to choose from.

I've updated my photo 'album' to better reflect my collection. I posted some pictures that look most like my actual bags. I think this is the best set of pix I have so far. I am looking forward to using my Chelsea Tote.

Take care,

I went back to Yorkdale this afternoon (arrived about 1:30pm. Crazy traffic of 401 East) but I should have gone there earlier. Practically everything was sold out except for Hamptons Leather Small Hobos. A bus load of people must have shown up b/c when I got to Coach there was a huge line up of people waiting to pay. But I did manage to get a bag & wallet. I posted a thread "My new bag & wallet". 3 bags & a wallet for the month of June is absolutely insane but the prices were just amazing! I am now on a ban until my birthday in August. I just may get myself an Ergo Pleated Satchel. I tried it on at the store and I loved how it fits on my arm.

I am so glad you got some nice bags Luvsbags&shoes. The Tattersall wallet is gorgeous and it's quite a deal. Yesterday, this style of wallet was not $39, but 50% off the regular price. This line is very expensive and getting this wallet at this cost is just a total steal!

I am so banned for buying up so much of these sale items, but I cannot resist to have a look during this week and see what else comes up.

Enjoy!

That's too bad AnastasiaWinter! I am now totally out of the loop in terms of what's going on at Yorkdale Coach.

I know I am banned, but my brain kept bugging me, "What if you go and take a look..." and I had to shake my head out of that crazy thinking. Of course I cannot go but I diverted myself by checking out Yorkville Coach to see if they have their new collection. They said that the new collection will come out Friday (tomorrow), but their wallets and wristlets are out. I checked and there was a lot of patent leather.

I saw a thread about the patent leather and a few people having horror stories about how easily this plasticized leather cracks. I am glad I steered clear of patent leather products. Ironically, I think most of this July line will be made of patent leather. There will be a few regular cowhide, but they look pretty much like last seasons and the seasons before.

Anyway, I diverted myself and I also discovered that I no longer crave the latest Ergo Pleated handbags. They don't seem to fit on my shoulder as well as the Ergos and other bags I've bought at Yorkdale this past week.

Also, the new bags look pretty much like the older ones I've got and I think the quality is a bit better in the older line. When I placed my Hampton's Signature Stripe Tote beside the latest fashionable bags, I cannot help but think mine looks better made than these new handbags. This older Hamptons Signature Stripe Tote has much more detailing and keener workmanship. That makes me feel proud that I got such a great deal on this bag.

Yeah, I am learning to enjoy my bag and curb my addiction. I am a recovering Shopping Coach-a-holic!

Take care,

T-Girl

Hi T-Girl,

I too am on a ban until my birthday, after doing some damage at Yorkdale. I am currently eyeing the Signature Stripe Patent Leather Zip Satchel in Khaki/Brown and as well as the Ergo Signature Pleated Framed Satchel in Khaki/Beet. By the time of my birthday, the Square One location will have opened up and it will only be a 10 mins drive from where I live.

[Sigh!]

The sale ended yesterday. I am embarassed to say I got a final purchase. Yeah, I said I was banned for life, but the 'ban officers' were on a donut break so I sneaked out one last time.

In my collection, I had one more signature bag over a leather one and had to even out my collection. I prefer the leather line over the signature and this didn't sit well with me. I don't mind if it's a 50/50 split. Besides, yesterday was the last day ever and I needed a huge regular leather carrying tote for my work gear. I got this bag for 50% off the regular price.

It's the biggest Brass/Plum Ergo Belted Tote ever from $498 to $249 and then throw on the tax for just under $282 (the price of 2 swingpacks). This bag is the EXACT same colour as the new plum summer totes but with more brass distinction, it's half of last year's pricing, has Legacy satin stripe lining, so why not? I added a picture, but it's a picture of a black version, which they had tons of at the store.

I am betting that within the last hour, they would have dropped down the prices from 50% to $49 again just to get rid of the last dregs to make space for the new summer line. I just couldn't be bothered waiting for that time and experience the crowd crushing around again.

As for the Bleeker Duffles, the SA said there were only two left and they bought them before they even had a chance to come onto the sale shelves.

Anyway, that's my last entry here unless there is a comment or a criticism as to why I broke my ban. I am embarassed and apologetic, but I wanted one last look at Yorkdale. Also, I know this is not an excuse, but this place is so addictive!

Take care,

T-Girl

Hi T-Girl,

Don't blame yourself for breaking the ban. The deals at the Yorkdale store are too difficult to resist. Look at all the great finds you got Thanks for your posting I went to Yorkdale yesterday at around 6:45pm and saw the same deal as you did. The Ergos were marked down 50%. Maybe there were some further deals later into the night, but i didn't stay thinking that I would go back again today (sunday). Unfornately when i called today, they said the sale is over already. Too bad that i didn't pick up any of the ergos last nite, they are out of the plum color that you got when I was there. I am happy that you got the big tote in plum with such a great price

Thanks for your posting informing us about the sale
Hope you enjoy your purchase and your collection..

Honestly, I feel quite sad now that it was going to be Yorkdale's last sale. I think this implies there would no longer be any Boxing Day Sale in any of Toronto Boutique locations. Too bad the future Ontario outlet is going to be in Windsor which is too far away from Toronto. With the sky-high gas price, I am pretty sure I won't drive there often (or even go there) even though it "may" have some good deals.

^^I know that I won't be going to the Windsor outlet. Too far for me. I'd rather go to Nigara Falls, NY outlet and pay the taxes to get back in. But I won't be going there anytime soon as well. I am happy about my purchases from Yorkdale a week ago. No complaints here for a $49 Ergo Signature Tote and a $69 Chelsea Pebbled Leather Tote. I am eyeing a lot of the new stuff that just came out. No more Coach shopping for 2 months.

is border crossing time still long nowadays? i remember when the CAD first became par with USD, the border lines were like 3-4 hrs long.

I haven't shopped at the outlets in years. Since having 3 kids in the span of 4 years, I been busy with the kiddies. I went over the border last year, but it was too meet a soap star. The people I was with wasn't interested in visiting the outlets, they just wanted to see the soap star.

Default Thank you for your kind reply!!!

Hi Coachies!

Thank you for your kind reply, ^Bag4Bunny^ I was thinking of not reporting my 'breaking of this ban'...how would they know? But, I would hate myself for lying. These are the BEST deals I will probably ever see. Thank you all for being so understanding. It's hard to ignore THE LAST DAY EVER SALE of Yorkdale.

I kept thinking that I would never see another deal like this unless I head down to Buffalo and I might as well bite the bullet now since the sale is here. The Plum Ergo Tote was the last one there and several people were eyeballing the bag as I was carrying it. I used my 10 minute rule--if in 10 minutes you don't hate it, buy it. Even though I have black hair, the black Ergo looked too harsh with my complexion and, besides, I wear dark purple lipstick regularly so this colour matches better.

I do kind of regret not getting the iPod case for my iPod. The price was $29 from $88, and it was for the older model 20G iPod which I have. My criticism for it is that it doesn't have a screen and scroll wheel protector. I am currently using my Roots leather (I have black and pink) iPod holder which protects both and has a belt clip. This holder would have been nice because it has a wristlet strap and I could have hung it off my bag. Still, I value my iPod enough not to leave it so exposed.

Take care,

T-Girl

Hi, Bag4Bunny:

I went over on Victoria Day. The lineup early in the morning (around 9:30 am) took 30 minutes to cross. Coming back, the lineup took almost 2 hours--a few inches crawling every 5 minutes. It was horrendous because it was a Canadian holiday. I don't know how long it would take for regular non-holiday trips though. I won't be going back anytime soon unless my girlfriend (best friend) is going.

Take care,

T-Girl
