PCE shopping (kinda) Gallery Tote...weird price! - Page 2

Love the bag--definitely a keeper! Coach did some funky pricing on some of their gallery totes last year before Christmas--I believe many of them sold for that price in the boutiques. I never quite understood it but they sure flew off the shelves. Maybe an SA can give us some insight?

I really LOVE the camel tote in patent! I am still thinking about this bag for my PCE purchase and now that I see how beautiful that scarf is with her, I will HAVE to have the scarf as well! Thanks enabler ! LOL I keep going back and forth about using my PCE on this camel tote OR buying an Ergo red patent tote on Bay. I love that bag but its not as practical as the camel. The jury is still out but I'll keep you posted! Maybe we'll be bag twins before the end of the week!

Cverhoff, I was having the same struggle - patent gallery tote or red patent ergo tote (which wasnt available on eBay around the time I was looking) so I morphed the two and got the ruby patent gallery tote on ebay, brand new, for a great price!! Oh and surprisingly (because I dont see many "different" Coach bags around here ) I saw a lady wearing jean shorts, a white t-shirt and a white patent Francine today outside of my daughter's piano school!!! I did a double and triple take, but there is no mistaking that bag. She was all casual w/that great bag and I immediately thought of you!! She looked terrific and Im sure you do carrying yours too!!

I really love the tote with that scarf. I have that scarf with black Cs and blue trim. I wear a lot of black and I put it on a black bag when I am wearing jeans and a black shirt.
Great price -- guess that was a misprint?? At least they are going to honor it.

Very pretty! What a great deal! I would say if you love it, you should keep it, otherwise if you are unsure, then you should take it back...

Beautiful and classy bag! I love the green accents on the scarf. Also, what a nice person you are to give a graduate a wristlet with a check inside! That's so sweet! I hope someone is that thoughtful of me after I get my MA.

Did you try and use the letter with the pce? Because even though it says you can't on the letter they have always let me use it, even back once before I had received my letter and had no clue it said that on it! They had no issues whatsoever!

Yes, I did try.
The SA indicated I couldn't use both at once.
I knew other people here have posted about being able to, but since it says right on there that you can't, I just said "OK". But, she rang up the scarf and wristlet using the discount.

I'll try to go back tomorrow.
For $279 it's like $20 better than what would have been the PCE price!

I hope an employee will pop in here and maybe confirm that this bag was $279 at one point. But, isn't the camel a new color? So strage, I tell ya!

I'm keeping it for sure.
I love it more and more each time I look at her!
And I love the scarf on it too. Now, I need to go fill her up w/ my junk!

The bags were incorrectly priced when they came from JAX at the $279 price. That was the price that the mahogany and ruby ones were repriced to in December. We were told to remove all of the prices from the bags and they were selling at the higher price. Don't know why. Anyway, since that is the price on the tag then you should be able to get it for that. Just make sure you keep the tag!! It was their error.

You have a great eye for putting together the scarf and bag, and an even better eye for catching the lower price tag. It's nice that your SA is willing to honor the lower price. Regardless of the reason, I say keep her-she's a beauty!
