Default I just got off the phone with a sa from coach rgarding no PCE

I just got of the phone with a SA from coach regarding No PCE for loyal coach shoppers. I explained that i believe the reason for the PCE is to get people who haven't bought to come in, but maybe the reason is that they can't afford it right now and there a loyal boutique shoppers who are being left off the list who have lists & want to buy. She is going to talk & explain my theory regarding loyal shoppers to her district manager & call me back tomorrow.......Oh PS she has the bleeker signature flap in rose..thats what I want to get with the PCE she is holding it for me till Sunday ..... I've got my fingers crossed I will keep you posted...........Joanne

I wrote an email and was turned downed. However, I did receive a PCE card a couple days later but it didn't have anything to do with the letter I wrote.

I am writing today to express how much I enjoy the Coach products. A variety of colors, shapes and price points made me feel as though there is always something perfect for me. A window display caught my eye one day featuring the new Spring Optic line in lilac. I was so attracted to it that I had to go into the store. Unfortunately, I didn’t make a purchase but every since that day, I checked at least twice a month at my local Coach store for new pieces. The Coach website dictates when I go into the stores. In the last couple of years, including the most recent purchase on February 13, 2008 at the Smith Haven Mall, NY, I now have a growing collection of Coach satchels, totes and accessories. My collection also includes prescriptive eyewear. It’s may be a small collection but a refine one.

I was wondering if a Preferred Customer Event invitation could be extended to me. I consistently see them on a popular auction site but always had faith that one would be mailed to me. It would be a privilege and a wonderful incentive for me to receive this invite. I would consider purchasing a memorable first piece for my mom along with a more sophisticated piece for myself. I adore my Heritage Stripe Zip Satchel but I also would like to own the Hampton Optic Signature Carry All or a beautifully crafted leather piece.

I believe that there is always room to be fashionable despite the sluggish economy everyone speaks about.

Yes I myself have also begged them to send me one. They told me to go the the store and fill the top part of the receipt and give it to the SA (actually don't understand what top part of receipt they are talking about). I printed the email and took it to our store. They said they added me. But did not receive any PCE ever.

I don't think it has to do with getting infrequent shoppers to shop more. Thats not the case with me. I shop at coach all the time, PCE or no PCE. I purchase several times throughout the year, not always at PCE time (some large purchases, some small purchases). I ALWAYS get a card. I have for the last 2 years. I always use the card, even if its for a few small items. I shop in the same store and I live 30 miles from it. I could be wrong, but I think it has alot to do with location to a store and that you shop primarily with that store. I also have a particular SA that I always go to. Anyone else?

I deal with big companies and CEO's all the time for my job and this whole "Preferred Customer" thing seems so wrong and random that I wrote the CEO a letter, followed up with a phone call, left a message with his assistant and am waiting for a response which I'm sure I will get - it will be interesting to see what that is and I'll be sure and share. I did get taken care of this time (first time ever) by a very nice SA at the store near me, but the entire "Preferred Customer" is such a misnomer and as it seems to be doing their brand more harm than good by the posts here and Coach certainly should address this situation - they need to both target new or upsell customers, but they also need to take care of loyal customers - especially in the current economic climate. Their core customers are most likely in the group being hit hard by the "recession".

This sounds like my story. I've gotten a PCE card every round since I began shopping at a certain location, regardless if I buy anything. They call the week prior to ensure I received it as well.

Very strict this time around, though. They checked my name on a list, took my card, and even punched a hole in it so it can't be reused. The SA told me that if they run two PCE transactions through on the same name, they've been getting calls from HQ! Silly silly silly.

The SA called me today & will give me the discount she remembered me from before xmas.I have had 2 PCE before but maybe it has something to do with me living in Canada. Anyway I am sooooooooo happy we are going down to Lynnwood on Sunday. She also is going to refund my sunglasses that I bought in Hawaii in Feb they are $50.00 cheaper here . Then I can re buy them at the cheaper price & use the PCE.So if you didn't get a card & really want to shop try calling the store. It wouldn't hurt In my case it worked ...........Joanne

I really believe that PCE has a lot to do with the store you shop at and the relationship you have with the SA's...I always always make it a point to gab with the ladies at the store, and they know me by name. I've gotten PCE twice now since I bought my first Coach bag in August 2007. I go to the store even when I'm not planning on buying, just to walk around and see what they have. I've made a few small purchases and a few large ones since my first visit to Coach, and they are pretty spread out to it shows that I shop often, not just during PCE.

To be honest, I have no relationship whatsoever with any of the SAs. So I was shocked when I got the March one on the mail. However, all my purchases have been made in one store. I wish could pin point what would trigger an invite to be sent.

I have no relationship with any of the SA's either. I hardly ever visit the store because I'm so far away and make the majority of my purchases over the phone. I have ordered through 3 different stores so far and the one that always calls me to remind me about the PCE is always the store I shop at the least. I have received an invite each time for the past year.

I called this time to see what was going on I always get the pce for the last 2 years. I moved from Vegas to the Portland area so I was worried but it came in sept and Dec. Now nothing...but I called the store to ask why and they looked up my name and said they had no idea but please come on in and they would give it to me. they said many people were left out this time and they had no idea why. She said she was sorry...it has nothing to do with her. She doesn't even know me so I don't know how all this works but she said in the computer it shows me as a perferred customer and she would do whatever I needed her to do. I was impressed and plan to spend lot's of money in the next year at their store. Good customer service is everything.

This whole PCE thing seems to be so random, because i have not purchased anything from Coach for over two years AND I moved out of state, yet I got a PCE in the mail this past week.

It used to be that I got one every couple months when I lived in Arizona. This is only the second time that i have gotten one in the year that I have been living in Michigan.

Meanwhile, my friend, who still lives in Arizona has not gotten one in a long time, but she also hasn't bought anything in a long time since she hasn't gotten the PCE.

It really is like there is no rhyme or reason!
