Default help. pce returns

I bought a slim carly in khaki/parchment signature with my PCE but now Im thinking of exchanging it with the black leather slim carly. Will they still give me the discount? or do i have to pay full price? I also dont have my receipt anymore and when i bought my bag my SA gave me a "new" one so the tags were not attached, instead they were inside the bag! will i still be able to return it? ( the tags are still inside the bag)

I am also wondering if they will know that my bag was bought with a PCE discount if i return it without a receipt. (I would rather pay an extra 100.00 for a leather slim carly, than an extra 180.00)

you are just doing an exchange - from what I understand Coach will allows pce purchase be exchanged for another color of the same bag but not another kind of bag. So you'll be fine - just go back and get the SA you were dealing with, she'll remember :) it'll be okay

I was able to return a bag and get a different (less expensive) item and get the PCE discount.

from the looks of it, there isn't a consistent answer... best bet is to call your local boutique and ask them...

My SA told me to return WITHOUT the receipt (tags attached of course) then they will give you full retail credit and you can use that towards your new bag that you want. I plan on doing this if I don't like the SoHo hobo I ordered.

yea to me it seems like if you return w/o receipt you are kind of stealing from them... unless you exchange- then it's more like a trade off...

but I don't support anyone who buys w/ PCE and then returns without receipt to get $$ back

They will NOT give money back on a return w/o receipt. If you return WITHOUT a receipt they will ONLY give you store credit.

I bought the Lily with my PCE. When I recieved her it wasn't love so I took her back and ordered the turquoise Carly and my SA gave me PCE again. She just grabbed a card from under the counter and scanned it. If your SA wont let you then you need a new SA. They are lying if they say they "can't", they just won't.

Okay, very good point. If coach would just do what they have always done (you could always make exchanged without having to be sneaky a week after pce if you ordered something and didn't like it - they'd exchange for the pce price - I thought it was something called good customer service) it's a shame but if I don't like my bag, I want to take it back and not live with something that will sit in my closet.

I agree! I feel like it is their loss, they ended up losing almost $400 on my return yesterday because they wouldn't exchange. The manager seemed shocked when I told her I wasn't going to exchange the bag if I couldn't get the 25% off the other carly I wanted. So I just returned and I will get another carly next pce or on eBay if i can get a good deal.

I just got back from coach and exchanged a purse for a different one and the sa let me use the 25% off. I told her that someone from the store told me that i could just come in without my reciept and get the orignal price off of it instead of the discount price and she told me that you can not do that cuz your items that you buy are in the system and they would know that you got it for the discount price! Plus she told me that its illegal to do that and coach could get audited for doing something like that!

i just called my local boutique looking for the khaki/bronze turnlock french purse and i asked if i could return the mahogany one that i bought with my PCE for the khaki/bronze.... he said i could exchange only for color and not for another item.. if i were to exchange it for another item, then i'd have to pay full price.
