Default Re: During PCE, what happens if an item is out of stock?

I should have specified - the coupon says no phone orders or web/store pick up, but says nothing about the item having to be in stock. And that 'phone orders' is not the same thing as an employee ordering for you. So, theres no reason why the SA shouldnt do it, and JAX isnt known for the most accurate information.

i had them order the Lily for me last PCE and they didnt even hesitate. I would think most stores would not have everything on hand, so there would be a lot of in store ordering going on. I can see why they would limit phone and web orders, as theres no way to verify one has the coupon unless you go the one time use code route, but that can be a hassle for corporate or whatever. Variable data printing and all

As for bags that are available to order but not yet released, one of the ladies on here said she has used PCE for such before. Is this true for others of you?

I did last year. I'm going to ask about this tomorrow for the denim sig stripe bags. I'll report back about what my SA says.

I've had things ordered for the last two PCE's with no problem - the SA's offered to order anything that was available to order!

Just talked to my SA - she confirmed that if the item is available for purchase through JAX, I could order it with PCE!

My SA ordered my bag because they only had 2 display models in store. Both were scratched. So I understood they could order if it was an item the store had in stock at one time. I'm just glad I went in Thurs. or by Sunday I might have been out of luck! But in May I ordered an wallet, the denim patchwork zip and it hadn't made in store yet. So if push comes to shove.......

Let me clear this up for everyone....

You are all able to order items from JAX and use your PCE when you go into your boutique and the store does not have the item in stock.

HOWEVER...bnjj...you CANNOT do this. WHY? Because I know that you, like I, live in Canada. Once again, we are screwed over and unable to order anything. We are ONLY able to use PCE on items that are in current stock at the boutique. Once an item runs out at the boutique, we are out of luck and cannot use PCE on it.

I have had this discussion so many times with the manager at my store (who also happens to be my SA) and she says that this is just the way it is for all of the stores in Canada. This is why I always try and get in to do a pre-sale to make sure that I get a good selection of stock. When I went in on Thursday to do a pre-sale on the Carly that I wanted, I was told that she was the last one in Vancouver. There were FOUR other women following me around the store like vultures while I shopped for other things trying to get the Carly in case I put it down because once it was gone, they were not able to use PCE on it.

I find it completely unfair that this is allowed in all stores in the USA yet Canadian stores have this ludicrous policy but unfortunately, it is true. You are only able to use your PCE on items that the store has in its current stock.

Yvalenz,

Will your SA let you special order an item with PCE? I know that there is fine print on the card specifically prohibiting that, but I've read that some SAs will do it.

Thanks!
