Another PCE exchange, but...

Hi everyone,

I had to return/exchange "Perfume Coin Purse" that i purchase last week using PCE. I have two items that I was trying to consider for exchange but ended up ordering "Bleeker Patent Tote". I saw it posted here at the forum, and I kinda like it. However, as soon as I was ringed up, the SA told me I had to pay the full price because the PCE is a one time use. I did question the SA a little bit because I was hoping I could save $100 like I was told here at the forum but the Manager confirmed, its only a one time use.

Anyone here experience something like this and were they right? I am kind of sad that I didn't get to save. I am curious when is the next PCE, I asked the SA but he has no idea.

I've heard conflicting reports on this issue, but it was my understanding that as long as PCE is still going on you should get the discount.

Technically it's one-time use only (I believe it says this on the card). I some boutiques make exceptions, but I've also noticed they've gotten a LOT more strict since the first of the year.

Agree. It's a lot stricter in terms of one-time use for the last couple than the ones last year when they would let you keep the card.

This varies depending on the store. I made a purchase on Friday and I forgot my card so they used the one at the boutique..Then I called on Saturday and told them I wanted to do an exchange and get another bag with the PCE. I did bring my card with me this time but I had no problems what so ever.

I just called the other boutique (i have 2 nearby) and asked them to explain to me about their "one time use policy" of the card. The SA explained that it can only be use once and then when a customer needed to exchange it, it has to be the same item but different color to retain the discount.

In my case, I choose to exchange it with a different bag, so no more discount for me :(
