Shunned for PCE (apparently) and told no on purchase...

...ok now I'm confused and mad. I just called Coach bkz I couldn't wait to see if I get a PCE, and the lady said she couldn't see me on the list and brabbled soemthing that you're not always on the list.... then i told her that I was planning on ordering something that wasn't yet released but available to order and I was planning to get that and she said "no you can't do that anyways"!!! WTH??? I am pretty mad. Now I worry. I'm sure I'll find a PCE card somewhere, but what's the point if I can't order the bag I want to? What if the store keeps playing "no, its not yet released so you cant?" then I spend money for a PCE and didn't get anything from it... now I'm upset and confused. I really want that exotic maggie I'm paying cash for it, since I saved up exclusively for that bag! I'm upset and devestated. Should I call another store and ask them again? Say "can I order this bag stylexxx with PCE" ? does that do any good?

Sometimes the low quantity or new stuff does not show on their computer inventory and they may not know how to order it. Don't get upset about clueless SAs! Go to another store if you can.

I am sorry that you experienced this. The SA isn't all knowing so maybe try another store or something?

yes! you can purchase...there's no rules against it...your store has to fax in the order to jax...sometimes they may or may not be able to see it in the system, but they can always call jax to confirm.

and no, they don't have to mail you a pce or even offer you one. sometimes sa's are just nice and will extend the offer. i know all the managers at the coach stores near me (all 3), so i usually have no problem getting a discount even if i don't have a card.

it's easier to go talk to them in person and befriend the sa's and managers. trust me, the more you go into a coach store, the more they come to know you and like you...my sa's even ask for my bf and my dog by name. i know it should not be that way, and some people don't have stores near them...but it is...one of those "it's not what you know, but who you know" kinda things

I called another store and got a person I actually know, and after they checked- turns out my name IS on the PCE list, and i should be getting it. They also checked right away if they can order my bag once i get my PCE, and its possible! I hate the different answers with different stores, yes, stick to one and go from there! That's exactly what I should do. Now the only question is if the bag will still be available by PCE time...

wait i thought u cant special order bags in from jax with PCE. I've tried before and the SA's tell me no it doesnt apply to special order items.. can someone clarify it? thanks!!

My store let me use the PCE ahead of time. They held the bag and my cc # since there was only one left and they will charge my card once the coupon is valid.

you can pre order the bag.. just go talk to you SA about it, they will order one into the store for you..

Yes, the SA can order a bag from JAX for PCE. If you go to a store that says they can't, you can tell them that you have hundreds of friends that have done it. I would then ask to speak to a manager, and if she isn't cooperative, I'd go or call another store. And THEN I'd walk into the first store with my new bag and say "SEE!!"

Loss of sales is the only thing that some managers understand. And some of them could care less about that.

Honestly, some stores have ignorant and rude SAs and some don't. Since you got the answer you wanted from another store, definitely go there and give them your business. You should even call that other store or go there in person and let them know that whoever you spoke to was rude and unhelpful and not only did you receive a PCE, you decided to take your business to another store that was more helpful. It may not accomplish much, but at least you'll get your point across. Sheesh!

Yes, you can definitely order a bag or accessory that isn't released yet with your PCE. I did it last month and I plan on doing it again this month. Sometimes certain items don't show up in their system (e.g., Japan exclusives), but if you check with JAX first for availability, you may be able to have your order faxed like others have said on here. No worries dear, you will get your stuff gosh darnit!

the first SA did not search correctly. there is a list but every store has a different list as every store has a different clientile so that may be why. however, saying you couldn't do that! she spoke out of term and may have mis-understood because you said it's not even out yet.

technically it is, it's just in cbsr so you can order. it won't be in stores till xx/xx/xx but it is out in the binder and since the pce doesn't say there are any restrictions it is fair game.

also I hope those who preorder realize that it's simply taking down your info and reserving a bag that is already in the store before it sells out. if it is a bag that is only in jax then it really depends on how fast your SA orders it because they won't place the order through until the first day of PCE.

Oh wow! Didn't know that. I always called the same store. Maybe I should call one of the other 2 I have shopped at previously and see what I am told about receiving one.
