I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Decolletes. I cant lie...i despised them until I broke them in, now I can walk a mile in them. Rolandos make me feel un-sturdy for some reason. They are not that comfy for me. Plus I think the Decolletes are a more classic look. IMO

I think these two pairs are definitely ones you need to try on if you're able to. The Decolletes seem to stretch a bit more but can be tough to break in initially. However, I love my Rolandos but can definitely see how they wouldn't work for everyone because the pressure put on the ball of your foot seems quite a bit different from other pairs (along with the really short toe box which is an issue for some people) IMO.

I love both pairs but the Decolletes, I think, would be more of a shoe that could be worn all day once broken in. HTH!

Thanks for all the help ladies. I think I'm going to go with the Decollettes, mainly because they're in patent black while the Rolandos aren't and I really love the glossy finish of patent leather!

Can't try them on because the department store here doesn't have either style. Guess I'll have to prepare for some breakage :)

Thank you for all the input!

i LOVE the rolandos! one of the sexier CLs I have and would love them in all colors and skins...I really like the Decolletes although they were a b*tch to break in but now I can run in those. But it really depends on your feet...like others have said.

Good luck!

From what I have read here as well as my own experience, I think you made the right choice. Patent Decolletes are so hot, and I think black patent is the all time most striking finish with the red sole. Decolletes also seem to be the more comfortable shoe once they have been broken in. I love the look of the Rolandos, but they just don't fit me as well as my "post-wool sock treated" Decolletes.

I don't own either, but have tried both on. The Decolettes were more comfy on, but I hated how they looked on me. The Rolandos were slightly more uncomfy but looked much better. If I had to choose one, I'd pick Rolandos because I was still able to walk in them, but liked the look much better.

Congrats on your choice. The black patent decollete is a classic. It's one of my favorite pairs. Hopefully they will fit you perfectly and won't need that much break-in.
