Default Prive Confusion!!! Expert Advice Needed...As Usual.

I did a search and read as many posts as I could related to this issue; however, I am still confused and need your best advice. I am about to spend $800+ so I REALLY NEED your help.

The SUEDE Numero Prive and Prive fit me perfectly in size 6.5. Keep in mind that I have only tried the suede on. Now I want to get the Prive in patent leather...do I size up to a size 7 or stay with the size 6.5? Please help me!

I don't own any patent leather Loubies so I don't know what to do . The size 6.5 is absolutely perfect, but in suede. Everyone says that with patent leather the fit is different and one should size up...HELP!!!!!!!!

I think if the suede 6.5 is perfect, that's what you should get in patent. I don't think the size difference will be much, and if it's a bit tight, it will stretch.

Have you sized up in any patents?

I have VPs in kid leather and NPs in patent - same size. I have Simples in kid leather and patent, and my patent Simples are actually a half size smaller - same heel height. So, yeah, I'm no help. Is there anywhere that you can try them first? If it's not eBay, you can always exchange for the other size...

I have never tried the suede, but I have VP's in kid and NP's in kid, fabric and patent and I am the same size in all. I did order patent VP's a half size larger thinking I might need to do that and they were too big so my kid and patent VP size is the same as is my NP size.
Hope that helps.

Hm, well, the only style I have two of right now is the Clichy 120. I did find that the velvet ran a little larger than the patent, but I also bought the velvet ones used.

i think you should stick to your size suede vp size also. patent will eventually give in. i think if you size up, you'll need to buy some heel grips.

Your VP size should be the same as your NP size. I go a half size down in the VPs to keep them from slipping off the heel. In any case, as far as the VPs, my size is the same no matter the material--kid, patent or python and in the satin. I've never tried the suede, but if I did, I'd go with the same size as well.

I tend to go up a half-size for most CLs, including my patent VPs. Maybe it's just that I have a wider foot and narrow heel.

It's so tough with the sizing now. The new Fall line seems to be running tts, for me at least. I went .5 up to a 36 from my US 5.5 size on the Nude Patent VPs and they were way beyond heel grips too big. I got the 35.5 and it fits perfect in length, not too tight in the toe box, nothing that a couple of wears won't fix, but they're a little narrow. I have to push my feet in at the sides, kwim?

Now, on the other hand, not to confuse you more, but...I also have 2 older pairs of VPs, one is from BlueFly, Kid/Canvas and the other I just got from eBay the Green Patent and they are 36s. These fit great in width and need heel grips but they're okay where the Nudes from this season weren't.

I hope this helps a little!

I went TTS for both kid and patent (35), and while my kid still fits perfectly after many wears, my patent has actually stretched after one wear (though they were used) and I need heel grips...it slipped constantly yesterday and drove me crazy. It's so weird to me.

It is kind of dangerous. I flopped my way into the store last night to get my heel pads and nearly tripped on the shoe dept carpet. Oi!
