I just saw this post by BergdorfGoodman on Facebook and i want to share it with you! To me, these are great news because i often go to paris!

Here's the post:

well...i wouldn't want my louboutins replaced with ane xact replica of the sole. they're quite slippery and i'm very clumsy! i like the rubber grip...i have trouble staying uprigth!!!

Seems great....but on second thought, if they wear as fast as originals (which I assume they would) I think I would rather put the vibrams on. But I think it is about time this option was offered to clients.

Actually, if I well understood they put a rubber red sole with "Louboutin" imprinted on it!

This would be perfect for a pair of mine where I got dye on the sole and ended up using acetone to fix it then put nail polish ti give it a shine again (lol, iknow)... But then again i'm thinking of letting those go so it doesn't matter.

It was posted in common with the louboutin event today at bg. So i guess, they replace the soles with originals.

I just stumbled across some more interesting information and photos on the website of a boutique that carries Louboutins here, Nina's http://www.ninas.fi/bulevardi13/?cat=6, contact information for the cobbler can also be found there if anyone's interested. Here's a bit of a translation:

"News for Christian Louboutin shoe owners: a new cobbler specified in Louboutin shoes has opened in Paris on the shopping passage next to Louboutin's Paris boutique. They offer care products, conditioners for different skins in all colours and also replace worn leather soles with rubber soles for 18€. They even told they can replace a broken heel if it's a classic or a newer model."

She also wrote that she asked if it'd be possible to send in shoes from Finland (and I suppose anywhere internationally) to be fixed and they promised to find out about the shipping costs and get back to her, so it seems like they'd be willing to do that.
