Pronunciation: KRI-shtaan Lu-bu-TAHN

I pronounce La-Bu-Tin

I've been pronouncing it:
Krish-chion (with the "ch" pronounced like in "change")
Lou-bou-TON (as in a TON of shoes or that weighs a TON)

From his pronounciation though, it sounded to me more like Lou-bou-TEN (as in the number 10)

A lot of people here in LA, including SAs, prounounce it Lou-bou-TAWN, or Lou-bou-TEN, and some I've heard pronounce it like I do....

(Now, I'm gonna be confused and will end up just pointing to the shoes, LOL!)

i would learn the correct pronunciation before i'm faced with an embarrassing situation. Jen (legaldiva) has it correct.

Every time I say it people think I am referring to Louis Vuitton, which is also French.

^^ I wish there was an easy to pronounce nickname. Every time I try to say Louboutin I feel like I tripped over my own tongue.

He gave a 101 on The Oprah Show on how to say his name and this is the way he pronounced it.

the video should be a good reference.

please dont throw eggs at me, maybe its my frenchy elitist side but for gods sake I hate it when people dont know how to pronouce the brands they love!

I absolutely suck at this phonetic thing but honestly to me Loo-boo-tan seems right with the 'N' kind of silent but not entirely.

I always make it a point to try to find out as soon as I get interested in the brand. I do have a question though how is "declic" pronounounced. It can't possibly just like it is spelled. LOL

If anyone is interested in style name pronounciations I can upload some. I am pretty sure of most but I will let you know how I would pronounce it if I am not sure. I am fluent in french so sometimes my best guess is good enough for me!!!!
