It wasn't the point that they were on hold, I would expect a regular priced item to be held until the end of the day. These are sale shoes. It goes against Saks policy to hold sale shoes.

There isn't like a general CS for barneys.com specifically?

Hm, really? Russell said in a previous post that they were allowed to do it for 2 days, but I think it just depends on whether the SA is willing to do it or not. Anyway, I do feel your pain on the shoes, b/c I almost lost my yellow Declics in a similar situation (sort of).

I think that was for the pre-sale...
The not being allowed to hold sale items came from the shoe director at NYC.

I feel so silly bc they are just shoes but it's like after they were paid for I got so excited and kept looking for them and looking and coming home at lunch to no avail.

Oh, I totally know what you mean. Not sure if you read my original post on this thread, but I ordered and was charged for my yellow suede Declics, the only ones that were my size in the entire Barney's system. I should have gotten them in 1-2 days because I lived a few minutes from the store they were sending them from. 10 days later, I called and no one could find them. Anyway to make a long(er) story short, I did eventually get them, but I was really disappointed for a while.

Well after being on the phone with Saks ALL day long and I mean all day, I didn't get my beloved 'Sometimes'.

Mr. Karbley,
I hope you are reading this as there are a pair, in my size, in your Boston store on hold by an SA. I called and an SA told me that another SA had them there on the hold rack, Jossey the NYC director calls and POOF, they're gone not two minutes later. It's not fair to have things on hold especially when you have a paying customer in the wings. I wish I would have gotten names. I will call back tomorrow to try and get these.

I would buy them on on ebay but I have more dignity than that. They are more than double the sales price and are even more than the regular price. I am so livid right now about the situation that I cannot even be pissed anymore if that makes since.

Jossey did give me 30% off the black Very Noeuds which is nothing to sneeze at because they will never go on sale but that was not what I needed as I already have a pair of Satin Prives. Oh well, take what I can get I guess. Sucks not living in NYC anymore.

I am reading and how about if the shoe was on the other foot?

Indeed. I do understand your point even though I do not understand why someone would hold something and not just buy it. I am just angry I suppose at mine suddenly disappearing and with no one able to say what really happened.

I am confused on this. That SA was doing what they needed to do for their customer. I mean, maybe that person was on their way to try them on. I don't think anyone did anything wrong here...
I would be really upset if I were on my way to the store and you "stole" my shoes from me. Maybe they also were holding them with that person's CC. I am just saying that I think that was kind of an overreaction. I understand that you really wanted the shoes but I don't feel that anything was really wrong with what they did.

It really wasn't but they had been on hold for a day and a half. Just saying. I wouldn't have wanted someone to "steal" my shoes if I was really going to purchase them either.

I see that Russel is back to work his magic Last year he helped me track down a Gucci tote when the Saks locator system was being entirely wothless.

Mr. Karbley if you are reading this I'd like you to know that your exemplary service is big part of why I remain a loyal Saks cutomer.

There isn't that I know of. They told me to contact the store's CS officer directly.

Do you know of a head office I can send a letter to, or something?

Azusa (from Melbourne as well), told me that Seattle specified flat rate for shipping to be $60.

This is very confusing..
