So far I love, love, love my Betty. I want a Quilted Bay but can't afford it at the moment. I like the white with the light blue edging or the black colors the best, but I'd probably take any color really...

i think they were more freaked by the fact that i got married in a registry office than the black dress!! (they are catholics) but it was a fun wedding even if we didn't last more than then 10 yrs...according to one friend i jinxed by wearing black!

I got the matching wallet with that one, and I bought that bag and wallet in Frankfurt. They have a WONDERFUL huge Gold Pfiel store in Frankfurt...so, if you're ever changing planes and have a big layover, it's a nice place to get a handbag "fix."

Lands Beanie you bring up a name from my past, wow. Gold Pfiel was my very first obsession when I was in my 20's (I'm in my late 40's now). I saw a smallish mustard briefcase (like you said, very Hermes looking) at a upscale luggage store. I WANTED IT but it cost like 500 dollars, just unthinkable at the time. Even though I couldn't afford it at that moment I decided to save up. Alas it was gone by the time I had the money and their other selection was well??? too luggish for me. I searched high and low for another purse/briefcase like the one I saw but never could find it. I would say do you carry Gold Pfiel and SA's would stare at me blankley, arrrrgh.

You youngens have no idea what it was like, prior to the internet, for creative shopping.

Hi there - yes ITA - the internet has opened up a whole new shopping experience!! Living in my area, there aren't any designer boutiques - small concessions in some department stores in Edinburgh and Glasgow - but even then they don't carry much. Its so infuriating - as finding anything can be a nightmare!! Gold Pfeil - a decidedly acquired taste I think - but I like it - its very very classy.

Too old???
Oh, noooooooo!!!! You'll never be too old to wear something so beautiful! You can match it with your lipstick and a cup of stawberries (with cream) and you'll feel like a happy baby

Yes - its true definitely was more organised when I worked. Thing is that seems a lifetime ago. I did work about 3 years ago, for a manic boss who was a complete lunatic. Mad as a hatter - very very hard going with him - he did have one saving grace, he did have a good heart - but I was working all hours, bringing work home and it really just wasn't worth it. So I said thats enough - and don't intend to do it ever again! So home I am - and although it does get lonely some days - the PF makes it bearable!!
Yes... I don't think I would suffer.. at all
