He obviously had insider information! Taj isn't spying on you by any chance - for DH, getting to know your tricks!

Shame about the Silverado - it was lovely - there will be others..............

I can't believe what's going on with people stealing other peoples photo's. Has anyone got any ideas to stop this? I know there is little done by Ebay as we have recently seen. Do we have to "watermark" every photo?

Hi Vintagecharm - well, I think that watermarking is about the only way right now we can stop them. EBay aren't making it easy for the genuine folks - so we need to just make sure we watermark everything!!

Most of them were very structured, (Birkin type) dressier handbags, but they always had wonderful solid brass hardware and fabulous hand stitching. You can go to their website, (goldpfeil.com) and see the latest selection of their handbags and other leather goods. (I have nothing to do with the company! LOL) But as I said I do own two of their bags, and they are lovely. That said, I think the older handbags, (like most companies) were made better than the new ones:)
beanie - it is odd that you should mention the Goldpfeil bags! Years ago our dearly loved dad bought us three girls one each of that brand of handbags when he was on a business trip to Germany. He insisted that it was a very nice brand but I was suspicious. I still have it as a cherished momento and now I have the verification that it was/is considered cool all along! Why would it matter? I just didn't want my innocent dad to be duped. Susieserb and I miss him so. On a livelier note - Susie is in Chicago - your stomping grounds - as I type!!! I wish I was with her!!!

Girl - I just have to take a moment to rave rave RAVE about my python Silverado. I have the silvery puplish blue one and it is THE most glamorous thing I own. It makes me feel like Cleopatra or something. I HIGHLY recomment buying one - as you probably have done so already which I will learn after I finish reading this long thread (perfect for me) that I have missed out on being a deliquent poster for many weeks.....

Even though I couldn't afford it at that moment I decided to save up. Alas it was gone by the time I had the money and their other selection was well??? too luggish for me. I searched high and low for another purse/briefcase like the one I saw but never could find it. I would say do you carry Gold Pfiel and SA's would stare at me blankley, arrrrgh.

You youngens have no idea what it was like, prior to the internet, for creative shopping.

Susie - you don't remember the purses Dad bought us? OOoooops - maybe YOU didn't get one - LOL!! - being the youngest and all. But you have YOUR revenge after all being the YOUNGEST and all - LOLOL!!!

I think it makes up for the years of being poor in my early 20's when I had a toddler and an ex who liked to bounce child support checks on me. I carried a ratty old leather bag that was pinned on one strap to hold it together. carried it for at least 4 years.

I think I have been maiking up for those years, over and over.

Oh and the ex with his bounced checks? 5 years ago a judge awarded me $240,000.00+ in back support and interest. I have yet to see a penny of it, but interest is still accruing and I have liens on all his houses and cars. Word on the street says that he will be selling 2 homes soon. yippee!m Pay backs a bitch.

My daughter who is now 25, will get a good chunk of it.

Okay so that was a random answer and it had nothing to do with this thread. sorry!
GET HIM - and then get some purses - LOLOLO!!!!!
