^^Ok, I'm out to buy a lottery ticket now.

Just keep enabling me, you know I'm weak, weak, weak and I could easily cave.......

Actually, I thought the same thing, preferred the smaller version, but I think it's the pocket on the outside that gives it a different look and enhances the larger shape.

Saks has the large in Poppy and another color, think it's a beige color, that's where I've been looking at the Poppy - did they check on the black for you, as it was on their web site originally. Hope you find one.

Thank you ladies for all your input. I'm still in a dilema and haven't made a decission.

Love the clean lines of the original small/medium black Paraty but also love the softer leather of the small/medium black Paraty with the outside pocket. What's a girl to do!!!!

REALLY! Maybe there's hope afterall! I went to my local Nordies and actually didn't see any with the pocket. I only saw it online. Do you know who has the small/medium with the pocket?

I got the small/medium with the pocket at Saks online about 3 weeks ago but they are sold out. I saw they also sold out of the large plain black Paraty yesterday. As far as I know Nordys does not have the Paraty with the pocket in any size. NM has the large one online. As far as I know only Saks ordered the medium with the pocket. I suggest calling the Saks in Manhattan or one of the larger Saks and see if you can order directly from the store.

OK, so I saw the paraty with the pocket at Neimans tonight (the large only), and it wasn't that much softer than the calfskin bag. The salesgirl said she had one of the calfskin bags, and it really softened up, but I don't know if I want to spend that kind of money and hope that the leather will soften up. I'm really bummed. Maybe as the years go by, Chloe will improve on the leather. In the meantime, I guess a Paraty is not in my future.

I prefer the original one without the pocket - and the leather of mine is great.

The leather on my medium with a pocket is much much softer than the regular Paratys without a pocket that I looked at. I suppose it varies from bag to bag.

I second SD. I don't have a paraty but I prefer the one without the pocket looks wise. And I fondled an old pink paraty (sounds like I molested it

) and I thought the leather was lovely with great potential for further softening.

I just picked up a brown Paraty without the pocket and I'm really pleased with it. I prefer the simplicity and clean look without it. Either way they're all gorgeous!

Thank you all for your insightful input. Both Cloes are absolutely gorgeous! I ended up purchasing the small/medium black Paraty without the pocket from Saks from the current sale. The beautiful clean lines won out.

About ten years ago I purchased a Bottega, non woven, that is reminisenct of the shape of the Paraty. It's smaller and is in need of some expensive repairs. So instead I decided to put the funds towards a new handbag. I purchased the Paraty from out of state, saved the tax, and am looking forward to receiving it shortly.

Thank you all for your input. You really helped me make my decission. I really appreciate it.
