Hi Chloe Queens!!
Ok, so im doing some research as it seems my first Chloe bag is closer than i think... I have confused myself a little though... what is the difference with a Paraty Shoulder bag compared to Paraty Capsule bags...? Thank you :) |

The Capsule bag is the same shape as the regular paraty but has a front pocket and is made from lambskin instead of calfskin.

I went several times to the chloe boutique without buying a Paraty.
Because I am not a big fan of the front pocket but side by side the Paraty capsule is definitely a winner -the leather is simply gorgeous and more luxurious than calfskin leather. I finally bought the calfskin Paraty after specifically asking the SA not to show me the capsule again ![]() I am very happy with my choice provided I don't come across the capsule and its gorgeous leather when I am carrying my calfskin Paraty

As a Paraty lover of 3 beauties - I really didn't intend to have 3, but it's a long story and I have no bag willpower (especially when on sale), so, I'll share my thoughts.
I have the Black Python, Old Pink leather, and Poppy large capsule. Each one has it's own beauty. The python is gorgeous-- some of the best python I've come across -- it seems to hold up well and is glamorous --the Old Pink leather is tough and great for someone who needs a bag that can handle lots of tough everyday wear, believe it or not, the Poppy front pocket capsule gets the most compliments, I think it's the combination of the lambskin and the color. The lambskin is supple and gorgeous and the color is a great red, although the front pocket style doesn't 'slouch' as well as those without, I really like the convenience of the pocket for my cell phone, keys, etc. If I want the 'slouch' look, I just turn it over to the other side. You can't go wrong with any Paraty -- the shape and colors are so dynamic --I think the shape is the most complimented -- I also think Chloe has a huge hit with the Paraty. My SA at Neiman's told me it's the most requested, most sold bag in the store. BTW, all the bags have both the shoulder strap and the double handles. |

Thanks for that ladies.
Ilson - i adore the Poppy colour - is the pocket at the front very visible or not? Ive not seen a capsule yet I dont think.... Im in Shanghai at the moment so I'll see what I can understand of it tomorrow. Also - do you fond the Poppy easy to match - the colour has won me over... would it suit a tough everyday lifestyle like you describe your old pink leather to do? kind thanks again :) |

Here is a pic of my Poppy - I find lambskin durable, as I have a few other Chloe's in lambskin, however, probably not as durable as the regular leather. I rotate bags, so I really don't carry them for more than a week at a time, and that is rare, so my bags are really babied. I think this was taken with a flash, so it really doesn't capture the richness of the Poppy color. I also included a picture of the Old Pink so you can see the difference in the shape between the large capsule and the regular size Paraty.
Good luck with your decision. |

Ilson - thanks so much for posting the photos - i think the capsule is actually better suited to me now :)
And Poppy seems to really get my attention - so now I can start my hunt (my fingers are crossed that I can find one in Shanghai)! Thanks again!! |
