^^ Mad.. thanks for the comparison pics!
That helps out a LOT.. now I'm thinking the Tan might be too light. I went a little nutts & ordered a few sizes in different colors through Saks F&F. Hmm... decisions decisions.

Hi all, I am trying to find a Heloise in Honey (or a similar tan colour) and in the dark silver colour (or is it called pewter or bronze) in the classic small style or a hobo style. Does anyone know where I might find these?

Here in the States, I know that Nordstrom will be carrying several Heloise styles in the color "Honey" for its resort/cruise collection. My SA told me that the new collection should be available in stores possibly by the end of November. From what I can recall, Nordstrom will carry the Honey in the Heloise small hobo, small satchel, and the Heloise Flap.
As far as the Pewter or Bronze color, I have not heard or seen anything. Anyway, good luck!! ![]() ![]()

Hi all,
I'm thinking of buying a paddy with an acrylic lock. Any of you good peeps out there, could enlighten me more abt this particular bag? It's possibly from the '07 collection and it's such a beauty! Please tell me more! Thanks. |

the plexi lock paddy, is a 08 style i think, it comes with the new holograms and dustbag.
it comes with leather which is super soft and light. the acrylic lock makes the bag much lighter, it comes in load of colours including clear, clear peach colour, navy blue and black. its a great style and comes in the regular paddy style and a few other tote sizes. which are you looking at? |

Hi Chloe fans! I am looking for a wallet to go with the Large Paraty (Dark Purple) I just ordered from Sacoche. Here are photos, most of them are Chloe, one Prada and two Miu Miu. What do you think?? I really like the Chloe Champagne wallet, but it has a metallic finish and its light in color so may not last very long...

The Paraty Wallet is made in the Deep Purple - so it might be a good option - you'd have matching purse and wallet

^^ The Paraty bag is set to become a classic. However, the bag itself needs to fit your lifestyle - and in terms of an investment - well. It rather depends on what you mean by that. If you mean will it last for a long time and not date - then probably the answer is yes. If you mean - if you buy and then decide to re-sell - and would you get a good price - then again - dependent on the market at the time and condition etc., then the answer may well be yes.
I think the most important thing when buying a bag is that you buy what you like and you buy what you will definitely use! Pay the price you want to pay - set yourself a budget and don't go over it - if you do - you generally always feel you paid too much - and it can take the enjoyment out of that bag. Personally - I like the Paraty - but not sure I'd buy one - I didn't like it at all when it first launched - but now I think its fine - but not necessarily a bag I'd want to own. The girls who have them love them for sure - and I'm sure they'll post here and give you their thoughts soon. Meantime - take a look at Reveal Threads on the Paraty and also the Reference Library 'All about Paraty' and see some photos of them being modelled - I think thats when you see the Paraty at its best - when its being worn ![]() |

ajollyaffair,
I agree with Lescoy 100%. An investment can mean a few different things. I think it is destined to be a classic, and I think the resale vale will always be good. The bag has amazing quality and durability, so that is not an issue. What is most important (besides quality), I think, is that you really love the bag and the way it feels and wears. If I were you I would go into a store that carries Paraty and just wear it over your shoulder and look in the mirror. Pose and walk around! See how it "fits" on you. A bag has to be comfortable (at least in my view) in order for you to really use and love the bag. You don't want to have to fuss around to open the zipper, or reach over and bend to do so. A user-friendly, comfortable bag is very important in my book. I find the medium Paraty is ideal for my body (I'm 5'6 slight/medium build) and the bag hangs perfectly. It carries everything I need and then some, but is not at all cumbersome or heavy. Some people prefer the larger bag and prefer to wear it cross-body. It's best to try it on to find out. Personally, I think Paraty is my favorite bag of all time - I think it wears better than any other bag. A bag is such a personal thing as we wear one every day. It has to feel "right." IMO, in addition to reading the other threads and seeing pictures of it carried on other people, you might want to see one in person a few times to get a feel how it looks and feels on you. If I can recall, I think that is how I was sold. |
