Default Am I crazy to get the python Paraty bag in beige?
I’ve been lusting after the python Paraty bags since they first came out. As some of you might know, the Chloe store in Bahrain has the Paraty in beige on sale for $2k. I’ve never owned a snakeskin bag – so don’t know how the skin will hold up, especially in beige. I’m so afraid of getting it dirty and the bag being more difficult (or impossible) to clean then a normal light-colored handbag.

I’m really debating if I should get this bag or hold out for a black python bag (and goodness knows if it’ll ever be on sale. Bahrain store does have a shopper version on sale, but I prefer the smaller shape). While I generally prefer the beige (I’m not a huge black handbag person) I’m just wondering if the black would be better since scuffs and dirt won’t be as visible.

Even on sale the bag is still quite expensive – and don’t want to regret my purchase! What would you do?

Thanks!

Would have to see a pic, but it sounds beautiful - I believe that's the one Charlize Theron has (off white). I have the black and it is so stunning, the python has a great sheen to it (makes it look less snakey- as I'm not a big fan of snakes......LOL)--Saks has the F&F event coming up in the near future, which is 20% off - the problem is the black ones sell in a flash. Good luck with your decision.

It is absolutely gorgeous- just make sure it can make it through your country's customs to you before you order. Some countries will not allow the import of python products.

Wow, good to know. Would hate for it be held up in customs!

I wish there were more photos of people wearing the beige python bag. The Charlize Theron photos are the only ones I can find. Wish I could ask her how her bag was holding up

Default Go for it!!!!Different from others have
I think its beautiful and different and perfect for the upcoming season! Its easy to find a beautiful black bag, but hard to find a super looking light beige or white bag so I would go for it!

It is beautiful in beige - it has so much texture. If beige is your colour - go for it.

Zoe - I have noticed your Dior from other forums - is that the one you have? I love it, its one of the most beautiful bags around. Very much a 'display' piece. Love it ALOT!

It is absolutely stunning and elegant but I wouldn't buy it because it wouldn't stay looking good long with me. Obviously not an everyday bag!

I have no idea how python wears. If you are prepared to look after it, and I think keep for special occassions you, would might be fine.

I'd go the black python, but the beige is much nicer.

Default Chloe Paraty Calfskin black or Lambskin Preorder Black?
I want either the Chloe Paraty smooth calfskin in black, or the lambskin on the Saks.com website (preorder) what is the difference? Which one has a nicer look to it? How do I decide?????I think the lambskin is crackled, distressed???I dont know Im just assuming from the web pic. Has anyone seen it in person? Will there be a discount on the calfskin paraty at the Saks event?

Your link doesn't seem to be working. Is this the bag?
