Thanks hun! Yeah I figured it shouldn't
be to hard. I have plenty of locks to switch out. Im thinking I will have to go with a dye process.
Chloe is very hard to get a response from!!!! I get notes about their sales and fashion shows and all but talking to someone that knows how to help with quality control or repairs has been a pain! Normally I like to just go through NM or Nordys....they answer u right away and normally fix it for free if they know u.

There was a question about metallic leather and conditioning.
I would be very carefull what u use on metallics. Chloe has many diff ones that went through diff dye processes to get that color. DYO company does have a special conditioner made just for metallic treated leathers!
I really haven't been that pleased with other conditioners I have gotten (lovin my bags) smells good but thats about it. I wasn't thrilled.

Getting it dyed will be easy - you can go to any professional shoe repairs for that. I'd leave the bag with them to match the colour. Write to Chloe they should be able to send you the leather you need. If you dont get a helpful response send me a PM - i'll email you the Contacts that helped me with my replacement padlock.

Suzi - i would always try local repair before sending a bag OS to get fixed. Someone else here has recently sent a bag to Chloe and they claim to not have received it. I had a paddy with broken riverts repaired by a local shoe repair guy - he was the best.

Another metallics related question. Does anyone have a newer metallic bag and is the colour hanging on to the bag better then previous years? Especially on the corners?

I'm pretty loving towards my bags - do you think I'd have any problems? I guess it's probably not as likely to still be looking new 10 years later as opposed to a normal leather?

Gaga - love your decision point for a must have bag - 100% agree. But I had a slow burner and didn't realise until 4 months later!?!?!?! I might look a bit funny throwing a tantrum in the store now....

LOL you poor dear! We have all had this happen! Now you know though so if you see it again you know what to do!
I have a new metallic 08 I think the question honestly depends on the year of the bag, leather and the color of metallic. I believe most metallics do rub wear easier then reg bags..Im super careful and baby my bags to death, they are like 4th children to me lol You will still get tiny spots here and there....Im super picky and check over everything! In general leather marks, wearing, chips to brass or flaking its considered the unique character of each chloe piece.

Thanks Gagaga - do the little spots bother you? Is it going to drive me nuts? I wouldn't mind little scratches and nicks on real leather as much as metallic if the colour is actually being taken off!

I saw some of your other posts to with amylynne. I'm in your girls club as well with the rack. Honestly dirty old men!! Yesterday I wore a slightly low cut dress - well my friend said it was pretty low cut, and whenever I could feel the weight of someone's eyes on my chest I would look up and it would be a dirty old man. I felt so gross. No hot young looking guys - that would be different

Hi, I was wondering what people's opinions on the vinyl/synthetic heloise are? Has anyone seen it in real life (in the black)? Does it look tacky? Thanks!

I have a small vinyl heloise in black. She is quite pretty. She is easy to use and light weight. Only problem I have with her is that the coating on the center seams are peeling.

Thankyou! You have put my mind at ease! Is there a treatment (something similar to leather conditioner) you can put on the vinyl so that it wont peal?

Also, do you have any pictures of you and her? I have looked in the reference library but can only find pictures of the regular heloise's. I'd be interested to see what they look like in real life as opposed to stock photos

Default Python and leather quality
I need help.. I've seen two choc brown python Silverado bags, and the leather is very different on them.

On one of the bags, the leather is the same colour all over, and the python shells are close together (if I can put it that way). On the second bag, the colour is more varied because there is some space between the shells (as if the python was growing out of its skin..). I like the way the colour change, but wondering if the thin skin between the shells is very delicate?? Will the leather/skin more easily get teared/ripped? And what about the python shells, will they more easily fall off, curl etc? Is the leather of better quality when the shells are closer together, or is it just a matter of taste?

Maybe stupid questions, but would like to know before I take the plunge.. The price of the second bag (the one with the space..) is almost the double of the first one too. So hope some of you with experience with python leather can guide me on this Also, what are your opinions on how the leather on the python should be? I' ll post a couple of pics to just show what I mean (hope that is ok).

^ I would prefer the one without spacing between the sells. The second bag doesnt seem to be in very good condition...
Ask for close-up pics of the edges of the front/back pockets, handles and pipings. That will tell you how used the bag is.

daisyrockyrosie - Hi - brigitte0810 did some DIY on her Heloise - I've not seen much of her - but it might be worth sending her a PM.
