^^ I'd just contact them to double check - what you don't want to do is 'lift' any of the colour off - some products can be pretty strong - but I imagine that because of the type of things they work with - any product they are retailing should be OK - but its always worth just double checking.

Is it supposed to dry up and return to the lighter colour or is that darker stain there forever?
HELP !!!!!!!!!

If it hasn't soaked in after a day or two I would try a paper towel over the top of the stain and then use a hairdryer (very gently, not to hot or too long) to see if it will loosen up the moisturiser so the paper towel can absorb the excess. I haven't actually done this and given the expense of the bag you may wish to take it to a professional. Good luck!

My kids have been drawing everywhere with pens including on a white leather recliner. Any perfume does remove ink but it does damage the leather I think. Buffs off the texture. You then must neutralise the achohol with a mixture of milk and water. You can do any search on ink/pen and leather and a number of people say they have done this with success.

On second thoughts with an expensive bag I'd send it to the professionals!

Is the chloe paddington going out of fashion?? Here in Australia it is virtually impossible to find an authentic Paddington bag these days. But after spending a small fortune on my bags over the last year, I am being told they are something of the past and no longer the fashion must haves they once were.
This breaks my heart !! Please tell me it isn't so??
I've admired Paddies from a distance for a LONG time now, and am finally a recent proud owner of my moka . IMO, I think this bag is classic. There are some newer Chloes that I might be crushing on, but I will always be a fan of Paddies. As a matter of fact, I plan on more paddies (baby ones too!) hopefully!...in the probable distant future. In terms of if they're going OUT of fashion...I don't think so. I don't really like to follow trends anyway, so I don't know if my opinion helps any ...

Oh my. That's awful. I'm so sorry she came like that! I wish I could help, but I am clueless when it comes to treating leather and mending leather or getting stains out . I don't know if you've seen this thread...you probably already checked it out...
HOW TO: Clean your Chloe (lining, pen marks, stains)
You better get your partial refund!! I KNOW how it feels when the seller doesn't fully disclose ! GL!

For us Aussies, Oroton makes a leather cleaner/moisturiser, which I have had sucess in getting ball point pen off of a white leather bag in the past...

Let us know how it goes
I put moisturizer ALL over the bag in a blot like motion to make the colour even out!!! LOL
it worked!!!!!!!!
but i can see the original scratch now BUT that is SO MUCH better than a dark circle on my beloved paraty! Thanks everyone for the comments!!! I had a mini-heart attack last night!

panc11 - I've moved this question here -

As for water marks. Its an idea to waterproof - i.e., spray with a waterproofing spray - which can help stop any water marks. I'm not sure where you live - but do check the Lovin My Bags website -

http://www.lovinmybags.com/

They do a range of products - and if you check them some do protect against water. I haven't personally tried their products - they aren't available in the UK - although they do ship overseas.

Also - check this link -

http://leatherstuff.com/shop/index.php?id=290

This store offers the Apple range of products and there is a Rain and Stain Repellant available in that range.
