We run the risk of saying whats in the bag etc., and then it escalates from there. So - in essence is another possible chat area - which has to be 'policed' and so I think we would have to be very careful just to be posting basic posts - and not get into a whole discussion which then veers off in all directions. IKWIM?

The Bal Forum is a much busier Forum than Chloe but it does also have several Mods - and if you do care to have a check - none of them generally ask you for opinion on what you actually would like in the Sub-Forum. I've done this to give everyone the chance to make suggestions - but there have to be parameters - and to make comparisons right now with Mulberry - and the type of Threads they have in there - its not valid. There is no Mod in Mulberry - and TBH the Sub-Forum is shambolic.

Having Sub-Sub Forums may be possible - but its not going to happen if we just end up with a whole lot of extra 'chat' areas -
sub forums would be a great idea if possible for certain threads, such as reveals and opinions and help, maybe not for others.

the bal forum is much busier but they have some good threads in there that maybe we could use for inspiration! as with some of the other threads in some some forums, the one "whats in your bag" from mulberry being an example.

I'm not sure on the Reveal Sub-Forum - Bag Reveal Threads may just come back - as they were previously - OR - it could be put that girls have their OWN Bag Reveal Threads - so say -

dragonettes Bag Reveal Thread

So your OWN Thread for any Bags you buy and want to show. I rather wonder if anyone would be keen on that - or prefer as it was?

Comments girls?

There is chat in every Thread - and whilst its fine to an extent - it can detract from the Subject of the Thread.

Deleting posts - its not a problem - BUT - its then felt that the Mod is too overbearing and is interfering - so we need to 'balance' and whilst I don't have a problem with chat - we need to make sure that the Threads are pretty much OT - that way we can help the girls who need it.

Rules are there - but in terms of making girls read them - its not that easy - you just assume they may. Its the same with the Forum Rules in general - what part of WTS/WTB don't girls understand? Saying they don't know that buying and selling aren't allowed - well it states it in the Rules - so obviously you either haven't read them - or choose to ignore them. Either way - its not an excuse.

I'm totally not keen to constantly be seen to delete posts - so I thought I'd post this Thread in order to gain opinion on what girls want, like, need - and then we can try and get a good balance.
getting the whole reveal threads right are going to be hard i think?

if we have our own threads i think its just like a showcase isnt it? we have this option already (which maybe some should use) do you think other mods from other sub forums will like this? also say if a newbie wants to post how will that work? will it mean you moving the post into a thread for them? if so it could be extra work for you?

if a reveal thread for all reveals stays, i feel that although it works, the posts are getting mixed and reveals arnt so special IYKWIM?

if we have a sub sub forum for reveals it would keep the sub forum tidy. i also think it would be great because when i sometimes do a search for say "chocolate paddy" it would bring up individual threads for choco paddies rather than one that i would have to trawl through. this idea could be used for the opinions needed thread also which again if im using the search for say a broken padlock, it would bring up individual threads rather than one to go through!

the deleting of posts and moving of threads, i came on here today and what a bit overpowered by it TBH, i think it is important to get the balance right as you say so you have a easier time and people know your a great mod, rather than people being affaid what to post.

i dont know vent over?

I think the individual Bag Reveal Thread is the way to go - as it is probably the easiest for girls to use. i.e., they don't have to think too much.

Everyone can have a 'Bag Showcase' but not many girls use it TBH.

The Opinions/Advice needed - I think that a lot of the questions which are asked can be contained in there - however, things like your example 'broken padlock' we could have a Thread for this particular issue OR we just dispense with the Opinions/Advice and have all new Threads being posted - and go that way.

I'm not sure why you were overpowered by the moving/deleting of posts bag*mad*bags - anything which was moved yesterday was required to be moved and any deletions of posts - which from memory - there were a couple - were due to a 'spammer'. I can't leave those posts 'in situ' If someone asks about the authentication of a bag - then it needs to be moved to the ATC - which is one which was moved yesterday.

The 'Whats in Your Bag' I don't have a problem with - providing it doesn't end up totally OT chat - if its used properly - then its absolutely fine - and its always fun to see what girls have in their bags - though I doubt I'd be keen to open mine up for public viewing!!

Right now - I've moving Reveals which have been posts in the 'Post your Reveals' Thread - into their individual 'Reveal' Thread. They aren't in a -sub-subforum - but they are in individual Threads - as I want to just move them out - and at least get you your Reveals back again. I've 'bumped' each one - so they will sit at the top.

If you want the Titles changed - PM me - and I'll 'edit' the Title for you.

Bear with me - it is time consuming - but they will all be re-instated to individual Threads

The Reveals are now reappearing for you - you'll be able to see the ones I've already moved. There are still more to tackle and also some posts which need to be moved into their respective Reveal Threads - but it is underway - hope this has the
