We all love this bag, its soft, its luxurious, comes in great colours. I dont have one yet, but eventually ....hopefully.
Where did the 'relevance' comment come from? tpf? somewhere else? if anyone is qualified to critic a chloe bag that would be us. We know them inside out.

^^that's the review from bagsnob.com, even though it's a review of the Chloe Kathleen, she mentions the Paraty

Hi Everyone!

Thank you so much for all your glorious enabling!! I have gone and bought the baby!

Yes, Alisonanna, that's the article I was referring to. Bagsnob said the same thing in the Paraty article. The pronouncement that the bag was only "relevant" in Black Python annoyed me a bit.

I'm loving the details of my new bag more and more. I especially like the little gold dainty clasp on the outside pocket (only available on the large!!). The tan colour and even the seemingly casual style seem to go with lots of outfits I never expected it to.

I'm a fan. Definitely RELEVANT!!

Well, hello again. I have BAD NEWS. Today I was walking around at lunch and the shoulder strap on my new Paraty just broke!! The bag fell off my shoulder and hit the ground. The strap came unglued/stitched. I am gobsmacked, as the bag has been carried a grand total of FOUR times, and for the money I paid, this sort of bad quality is unacceptable IMHO.

Fortunately I was close by the shop where I bought it, so ran in and said "LOOK". They've now taken it off me for inspection to see what they can do. I really want a full refund. Now all my stuff is in a paper shopping bag for the day.

Not happy.

Holy Crap that's awful - I would be fuming too if I were you. I haven't heard of there being a huge issue with this bag coming apart - I know the heloise had handles problems...

At least you bought locally. I would think you would get an exchange or a refund, but I know in the case of an exchange you are just going to be paranoid with the next one.

I hope the experience doesn't put you off chloe entirely. I have around 12 chloe bags and use them regularly, and have not had any faults to day (knock on wood). I'm sure your next one will be a keeper.

Let us know the outcome.

I think someone else recently reported the exact same thing happening with a Paraty. Much as I love it, these reports have definitely made me a bit less carefree when I use my bag (large size old pink).

I'm gobsmacked too - its the most expensive in the range and to have any faults at all is not acceptable. but it can happen to any bag any brand. Its just not good coming off from the recent heloise handle issues. Chloe needs to take more care.

Hmmmmm, that's bad. I feel the sudden urge to go and thoroughly re-inspect my Paraty. I didn't know the Heloise had handle issues too. But honestly I can see why it could be.
I was examining my Paraty yesterday and admiring how everything seems to tightly made and stiched, as if hell or high water couldn't drag that bag from my shoulder. I'm in shock to hear!
Try not to do this to your SA-
