On a more cheerful note, i just got a new bag that can be carried messenger-style, so i guess i will still look good when i am on clutches!
Hope that the therapist gives you good news today Maria!

A little rest is a good idea, I hope it doesn't mess up your training schedule too much for the race though. Better to rest now and be able to start the race than to push yourself now and be too sore to race!

Maria, "no te pases y descansa, _oño". Sorry for write in Spanish , but I think she is going to understand me better than in English.
Anyway, Lescoy, I haven´t a Christmas tree, decoration... at home . But in my parents´ home...tree (plastic, very real, but plastic. I don´t like people who has real trees. After Christmas most of them are going to the dump) and lots of Christmas stuff . My sister loves this days, me not...

You know it has gone wrong when some family members are discussing religion and try to remember the ten commandements and they cant remember the one about the sabbath and then you chime in by saying "remember the sale and keep it holy"

Thanks, pukasongo.. It is still sore, but less so than yesterday. I have another physical therapy appointment today and i hope he will sort my knee out.

I am devastated... I dont think i'll be able to do the 10K race next Wednesday... I've trained so hard and i've invested so much money on good shoes, good jogging pants and top, the bloody NIkePlus chip... I wanted to do it properly to avoid getting hurt/cold... I could have got myself a Chloe in the sales instead.... Still, i've had so much fun training...

I'll let you know... At the moment my mind is focusing on the possibility of treating myself to a paddy clutch... but i should stick to my ban... Does anyone have one of them? Are they useful for going out/clubbing? Ta!

So sorry to hear that Maria I'm hoping you still manage to heal up really quickly in time for the race. If not though, there's always next year!

I have a mastic paddy clutch and I love her - she's my lucky bag! Perfect for nights out and clubbing, I even took her to the UK as my going out bag. It fits all my essentials in it perfectly. Not that I'm enabling or anything

I've seen your modelling pics Maria - you'd look stylish in anything. The Chloe would just be the icing on top!

Thanks, qwerty... I just came back from the therapist and he was a bit disappointed. He thought my knee should have healed now... so i have no hopes now for the race...
I am so upset that my menses started 10 days early for the first time in 22 years (that is, for the first time in my life!)... i dont even get pleasure from my bags...
It's my own fault for training too hard... Lesson learnt the hard way!

So sorry Maria Sending lots of and your way, like pukasonqo!

I hope that you start to feel better again soon - stress can do strange things to your body. I suggest a good glass of wine and some chocolate to help you feel a little better again!

And now just think of all the extra time you have to train for the next race - lots of gym time, surrounded by all these strong men....

Thanks... You dont sound like my mum... You sound just sensible...
I have too much discipline and am too organised... It is very easy for me to find the perfect excuse for training (and not working )... either at the gym or outdoors.... The main theme in the RM New Year's REsolutions thread was exercising more often (apart from paying CC debt)... my resolution should be traning less... STill, i am having fun and have some free time to waste as i please...

Not to enable or anything, but Erica from Hgbags is having a Bal sale... I'll email you the info....

Girls - hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I'm not around - my parents are both ill, and have been bed-ridden since Christmas Eve. Both have flu. Dad collapsed in the street, and now I've had the doctor out to him overnight - and he has a problem with his lungs - and having flu now - it has now entered his chest and he has another infection too. So he is very poorly right now. Our Christmas was a 'damp squib'.

Hope to be back online a little more - but right now just wanted to say Hello, wish you 'All the Best' - and have fun
